Re: The Comic Book Thread
I mentioned Brian K Vaughn on the last page. Last night I started reading Saga. I love it so far.

...
In fact I forgot I was typing this post because I got side tracked by reading another two issues of Saga.

Saga is all kinds of awesome. I don't know anyone yet who's picked it up and didn't like it. Please, nobody try to disabuse me of this.

Re: The Comic Book Thread
You know, I am not sure how to explain it without it sounding completely derpy. Two massive space empires at war. Two opposing combatants fall in love, have a baby, meet weird people along the way, run for their lives, etc... But it's told in such a fantastic, humorous, awesome way. And Fiona Staples's art is FANTASTIC.
Re: The Comic Book Thread
Romeo & Juliet in space? The setting is like Star Wars with its ridiculousness dial cranked up to max? But a serious emotional story about love and family?
I'll back the opinion that Saga is a must-read series. It and Sex Criminals are my top recommendations for adults who are open to reading comics but don't know what to read.

Re: The Comic Book Thread
Last weekend my hosting company upgraded the servers and it destroyed spacebooger.com
I used to do weekly reviews and had a legit posting schedule, now I only post I once a week. I thought about closing the site, which would save me money, but then I realized the domain was my main email.
Long story short, I'm keeping the domain, rebuilt the site this week and am opening it up for others to post. I tried this before but wanted a strict posting schedule from contributors, but not anymore - I'll take any posts.
If you are interested in writing ( literally anything not just reviews) about comics daily, weekly, monthly, once in a blue moon, or just one time - PM me and I'll make you an account to post whatever whenever.
I never intended it to be my site only. I always wanted a community of posters and readers. I think with some help we can make that happen.

Re: The Comic Book Thread
I have a giant tome of the Spiderverse event waiting to be read. Thanks, public libraries!
