Ya know I really wish retail stores sold GOG pre-paid cards in the same way they sell PSN cards, Steam cards, eShop cards, etc.....

Strania is a pretty underrated XBLA exclusive shmup by G.Rev.

I've never gone online with my Sony or Microsoft consoles. PSN looks okay - may snag some PS1 JRPGs if I lack the physical copies (like Suikoden). Can't find much on XBLA that I can't already get elsewhere though.

I don't have a PS4 or Xbone, but I can still go online with the 7th gen systems - right, right?
Well, with the XBox One getting backwards compatibility I'd say that it's reasonably safe to assume that the 360 stuff will be online at least until this generation is dead and gone.

Partial backwards compatibility. We'll see how much goes up after this initial 100
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

I have a feeling it might go a bit better than 360 BC, but still end up pretty crap in the end. I have no idea of the quality, but even if its 100% perfect I imagine that the steam will fall out pretty quickly.

So what is the big benefit of having it backwards compatible? I do not understand, I would much rather beat on an old 360 rather than the wear and tear on my newer, more expensive One.

There's a chunk of people whom would prefer to have less consoles hooked up at any given time.

There's people whom would sell the previous machine for more game cash.

Then there's the most common type of consumer whom has the mindset of, "because we used to have it and now we don't and that means there's less value".

The last one I find absolutely insufferable. The other two are legitimate concerns, though.

The amount of product placement in the police department area of Murdered Soul Suspect is horribly bad. There has to be no less then 25-30 Just Cause 2 in there and probably 60 or so of the computers have the Menu screen of Deus Ex Human Revolution displayed including many of the ones the officers are animated to appear to be using.
