:D : After that it's off to St. Augustine for the Bob Dylan concert.

So far it's been a fine weekend.
I'm sorry about Bob Dylan. I saw him a year ago. It was probably the worst concert I've ever seen. I love Dylan, but man his voice is completely gone. Don't get me wrong...... I like his newest stuff, but let me say that nothing is more disappointing then hearing him croak out "like a rolling stone" or " Simple twist of fate" like a frog. His band also wasn't very good either and the acoustics of the venue were terrible. I'm not sure i would see him again..

Last weekend I did see The Smashing Pumpkins, Hall and Oates, Alice in Chains, Public Enemy, The flaming lips, Patti Smith, ZZ top, and Big Boi. What a great weekend.
Nah, Dylan still puts on a good show...I saw him a year or so ago and it was superb.

Also, deja vu! http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 27#p463127

Mega Frown: My friend who is going through a nasty break-up stopped by yesterday as I planned on helping him move. So far it's been civil, but yesterday when we were sitting down and shooting the breeze he called he "a resentful, miserable fucking cunt". I responded with "Dude, please don't call her a cunt in my house out of respect".

He said "I can't be here" and stormed out. I didn't chase after him, but I called him an hour later, and it went straight to voice mail.

So frustrating. He knows I'm there for him, and he knows he can vent, but he should also know that his ex was over at my house and referred to him as a "fucking asshole" I'd ask her not to call him that in my house as well.

Sometimes I think you gotta let that stuff slide, especially considering the situation they are going through.

Hey, if he calls me today I'll let him know I have no hard feelings. But at the same time he needs to understand that juvenile name calling doesn't fly in my house (unless it is harmless, like if we're playing NBA Jam).

They're both miserable, no need to drag me into their mess.

I think he was just looking for a friend to vent to. I don't think you are necessarily getting dragged in if you fail to chastise over name calling. I probably would have been irritated or frustrated as well. Just seems like it was a somewhat self-righteous response given the circumstances. But hey, I guess that is between you and your friend...

:( Lost my key card to get into my workplace. I only have one month left so I'm not gonna ask for a new one.
:) It was over 50 degrees this morning so I took a nice walk while waiting for someone else to open a door for me.

:( Left my lunch at home.
:) Gonna pick up Subway.

Yeah, he's been venting to me for well over a month, which is what I'm here for. But he crossed a line and I thought I handled it politely, and the best way possible. If he wants to be pissed at me, so be it. I understand he's going through the roughest patch in his entire life, but he has no excuse to call his ex a cunt. There was no cheating going on, no verbal or physical abuse, it's just that after being in the relationship for nine years she realized they weren't going anywhere. He said he planned on proposing, but never did. I think she simply fell out of love. Sucks, but it happens.

I'll continue to mutually support both parties involved, but I won't tolerate the insults. My friends have better character than that.

Mega Smile: Blue Man Group was AMAZING!!! I honestly had no idea what to expect going in and, I gotta say, it's one of the most awesome shows I've ever seen. The only down side is I can't really explain what it is that they do because their act is indescribable in the best possible way. Hey Repo, Blue Man has a permanent show at Downtown Disney, right? You should totally put some money aside to go see it when you have the chance.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Glad you enjoyed it. I haven't seen them myself, but I've heard that they are a must see. I had a chance to go, but skipped out and kind of regret it.

That they do. I can't remember who said it... and am too lazy to look it up right now, but he was a clever bastard. "The human mind has an unlimited capacity to take things for granted." I'm also not sure if that's how it was said... fuck it.
“Most human beings have an almost infinite capacity for taking things for granted.”

Same guy that said this...
