Gonna continue to sidetrack it a little here...

Resellers are fine, they are a good way to get games. Now the ones who rely on Ebay pricing as the bottom line are the one I cannot stand. They dont seem to realize that when something sells at a price it sells to the highest bidder. That person was willing to pay more than anyone else at that time. Nobody else was willing to pay it making the next one worth less than that.

There are good resellers who charge fair prices, they exist even here. Nothing wrong with a little profit on a game to support the old habit and even I have done it. There are good ones and bad ones and some down right rotten ones. The consumer has to be vigilant and has to understand the value of their own money.

Lastly, this was not my find but that of a younger, newer retro gamer/collector. I was in my local retro/current shop yesterday and I spotted Mega Man 8 complete for Saturn for 50 bucks. Now at this price I was gonna grab it. This place keeps their games behind glass and people go around and open them so you can browse. (the Exchange for those who know) There was a kid about 14 waiting at the same case as I when it was opened. I let him reach in and get what he wanted first as he was very polite. He grabbed my game, so I played it cool and grabbed a couple others that I had also wanted to get. To my surprise he kept it, I thought for sure he was gonna slide it back in. I ended up talking to him for awhile and he seemed genuinely interested. It was great to meet a younger collector who was starting out. I was happier seeing him get that deal than I would have been getting it myself.

Yes, I plugged Racketboy, as I always do....

No loss on Mega Man 8. It can be had for much cheaper. If not on the Saturn, on the PS1.

went to a flea market today. Lots of video game vendors, but also a lot of "eBay pricers." :? One guy wanted $30 for Sakura Wars PS2, which is pretty close to eBay going price. Talked him down to $20, but he wouldn't take $17 so I walked.

Got Bloodrayne (PS2) for $5, Outlaw Volleyball Remixed (PS2) for $3 and Guitar Hero III (PS3) for $3. Not bad.
