Even better when you look at the wheel that is locked to the rack and it is a quick release tire.prfsnl_gmr wrote:...or they will take the front wheel and leave the rest of the bike. Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

I have a chain for my bike, but I just chain the frame to whatever I'm chaining it to and leave the wheels out of the equation. I also am looking into throwing in another chain down the road for added security.
Also forgot to mention that the new innertube has that stuff that seals it up when there's a leak. It's not a perfect solution but is a better one. It was also just as much as a regular tube.
Still awaiting my email from Disney. Hope I get the job, since it's just four 10-hour shifts, and I can sometimes get an extra shift that brings me up to 50 hours a week. And if I get third shift, that's an extra dollar an hour.
Also recalibrated my budget for moving to New York City. Instead of saving up just 3 months' rent (my maximum range for a rented room is $500/month), I went for 6. But that figure depends on how to sort out my issue with the lease which keeps me here until next April, when I'm trying to get out of it in October (roughly 6 months early). I've read of a few ways to get out of it without getting kicked out but I'll have to recheck my lease to find a way out (i.e. transferring the lease to someone else, et al).

The trick is to loop the chain through both the frame and front wheel.

I once sneezed beef stew when I was sick. As bad as vomiting is, having half digested potato chunks in your nose is very unpleasant.Ack wrote:Crap, no tacos for me. I am sick to my stomach. That said, applesauce is relatively pleasant to vomit up.

Smile: Productive day!
Ticked: What is with this new trend of bidding on eBay items then just not paying for them? This is like the 5th one I have had in a month. It's infuriating. Don't bid on the items if you don't want to pay for it jackasses!

I agree. This happened to me last month, and it happened to my wife two weeks ago. It is infuriating!RyaNtheSlayA wrote: Ticked: What is with this new trend of bidding on eBay items then just not paying for them? This is like the 5th one I have had in a month. It's infuriating. Yeah, that kind of trolling is really uncool. Is there a way to report these jerks and get them blacklisted?
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

A U lock is still the best defense. Most manufacturers changed the locking mechanics after the whole pen cap thing came out.Hobie-wan wrote:No crap for bike repairs. That's helpful for job things. Don't make your bike flashy so it isn't appealing to thieves and have a way to secure it. U locks are mostly useless as you can defeat them with a pen. Braided cables are the best defense I believe as they're more annoying to cut.
I normally lock my bike to street poles and such, front wheel, frame, and pole all inside my u lock. My front wheel is a quick release so if I'm paranoid or worried about where I am I'll pop it off and lock frame, both wheels and the pole inside my lock.
The best advice I can give is always lock your bike to something never free lock it.
Edit most lock companies now offer a warranty where if your bike gets stolen while locked they will buy you a new one up to a certain amount of money, I think like 3 grand maybe.
