Apple, like any company, makes marketing decisions based on who's buying their products. And even after they dropped the Mac VS PC bit, their ads are still incredibly snobbish. "If you don't have an Iphone, you don't have an Iphone"? Please. If that's not snobbish, I don't know what is. It doesn't help that the slogan is read in the most stuck-up tone of voice imaginable (at least, that's how it sounds to my ears and I'm sure I'm not alone on that). Meeting lots of snobbish Apple users+Seeing snobbish ads all over TV=Me not thinking very highly of Apple. Sorry.

Are there any companies you do like?

Pretty sure the "I can't believe you aren't using product X" ad strategy has been used by pretty much every company at some point or another.

:): First day of yard sales and I found some decent deals.

:P / :): Bought a few great GBA and GC games off a girl mostly CIB for $3-5 a piece, and saw that she had a GC with a GBA player on it. So thinking here prices were amazing on everything else I figured wth I dont need a gamecube but if her combo is cheap enough why not nab a GBA player to try out. Her price ended up being $80 for the combo or $70 for the GBA player alone since they sell for "$180 online" :P. I politely said no thanks and walked away with the items she failed to price check online :).

Missed out on an amazing eBay auction by a few seconds. Had just enough PayPal to complete my Sega console wish-list in one purchase. Really bummed out over it.

:D
Watched some movies with my daughter over the weekend. Cara and I had a Nintendo night and played SNES, N64 and GameCube games. Was pretty fun, but we're both really rusty and playing old-school platformers.

:(
Really want to go to the flea market and hit up some garage sales. With car troubles, working graveyard and being a hermit I have a hard time getting out at all.

Making new friends is tough. I've never been good at it, and just assume everybody doesn't like me. This is backed up when new people that I meet suddenly stop talking to me, and then don't even bother responding to messages. Maybe I'm annoying? Meh...

Well you and your family would be welcome sometime for a gaming night. Hobie is over often enough. For awhile there we were swamped with the sales stuff.

Thanks. :D
The Cruiser is going into the shop next weekend, and after that things should start looking up. We're just hesitant to take it out on the road as it is, especially with the little one.
I really have to start getting out more, so it should help.
