Clean socks get dirty as soon as they touch carpet. It's fabric on fabric, which tracks more dirt.

I'm almost 100% positive Mr. Wizard taught me this, and that dude had a great record for being correct.

^ I wear black socks for a reason.

But yeah, I'm with Luke (I think). I feel my best wearing a fully buttoned shirt, some nice Adidas, and a pair of jeans. Plain t-shirts (of all colors) are a safe alternative too.

I feel sloppy wearing the majority of my old graphic tees, and reserve them for mowing the lawn, wearing underneath my work uniform, or getting loud in a friend's garage/basement.

Also fedoras are as hideous as those Croc shoes. One time I saw a man wearing both. *cringes*

EDIT: Also, why is it so damned hard to find caps with deep bowls in them? I can't find them for shit, and I'd really like one before tomorrow, but I can't go anywhere right now. Damn my big head.

Yes Sir. Even Louis Luitton casual shoes are not much more than adidas shoes without the stripes. And they're affordable:

Obvious isn't always obvious. I step in puddles, mud, crap, gum and such, and I'm no sneaker head but I clean my shoes daily. I also sometimes shine my work shoes during lunch so I won't rule out OCD, but mainly I like to keep my shoes clean as those left and rights can be expensive.

To bad those aren't in a mans size or else I'd buy a pair.

By mans size I mean not only a 7.

Those are tennis shoes or some such. Not any form of shoes that could be considered dressy. A nice, clean, well polished and preferably dark colored pair of boots, or similarly done leather shoes are dress shoes.

I find that when I'm using an online strategy guide, I often prefer to use one that's relatively old (if possible). Guides written before the days of Facebook are far less likely to utilize "1337 speak," and other internet slang words.

No one said they were dressy.

I fell in love with saucony shoes myself recently. I don't do much besides go to the gym and lift or work. They are prefect for lifting and comfortable as anything I've ever worn before for all the walking I have to do for work.

I just pointed that out because I wouldn't ever call them "nice".

Ehh, I'm not a sneaker head, or a shoe fan for that matter. A pair of boots and a pair of converse is enough for me.
