I would have posted earlier, but I didn't see the intro topic. I figured there's be a board for it.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hey everyone! I've been visiting Racketboy every so often to look through the guides for quite some time now and finally got around to joining the community. It took me awhile to actually post because I was finishing up getting my B.F.A in Film and Video Production. Now I'm spending most of my time searching for a job.
My favorite system is the Dreamcast but the systems which create the most nostalgia for me are PS1, NES, GB, and Genesis because I spent the most time with them as I was growing up.
The most recent notable purchase I made was a great condition Turbografx-16 with New Adventure Island for only 10 bucks, which made me pretty ecstatic. A couple of my friends and I used to get together at my buddy's house back in the day and play Military Madness, Devil's Crush, Alien Crush, and the Bonk games so I'm keeping my eye out for those.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to posting here and getting to know more retro gamers, so let me just say it's my pleasure to meet you all!

Hi guys!
Wow, I think I've been on racketboy for a while but never really posted. So, long time lurker (2 years!), "first time" poster.
I love this forum! It's one of my favorite gaming forums. I'm back into my gaming mode for some reason so I thought I'd finally introduce myself.
Something year old female that wants a PS3!! And a 3DS. And some various old consoles like SegaCD, Sega Nomad, Neogeo pocket....
And stuff like that. OH! and one of those clear dreamcasts! Those are so.... um...hot? (Cool...maybe I should say) Plus, my dreamcast seem to stop working for some reason so it'd give me a reason to hunt one of those down/buy one!
I have a compulsive need to collect video games even though I rarely play them. And the more I see or read other people's collection, the more I want them!!!!
Okay, I'm done. Hi everyone!
Oh, and I want LBP2!!!

Hey, I'm Dos.
I'm pretty big into retro gaming, my Sega Genesis gets more play time than my PS3, and I emulate quite often on my PC.
I also write Chiptunes over at 8bc.
My favorite games are probably the ones I have on Genesis: Gunstar Heroes, Sonic 2, Golden Axe, etc. But I'm also into Dos games, especially Zork.
And deep in my heart, I have a soft spot for Castlevania 2. I basically grew up on that game.

I also am one of those lurkers that was always here but never posted.
ive been collecting games since I was 16. but ive been playing since i was much younger.
I grew up kinda poor so I couldnt afford any games. once I got my first job I was able to buy my first gaming system. And Its downhill ever since.
I now have over 2,100 games and Im always adding more to my collection
I am a real big fan of old school gaming, and when i stop buying old games, I think I may have enough to buy the current generation of systems.
well thats about it. so I'll see you around.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hey everyone, I'm Robbie.
I'm 25, and I started collecting video game systems when I was about 13, I've been playing for literally as long as I can remember, starting on my dad's old 2600. I have amassed a pretty decent collection of systems and games, I'm sitting at about 17 systems and almost 500 games.
I love gaming consoles, it just always fascinates me that at one point in time these machines were top of the line, and people were willing to put the money into developing and releasing such sophisticated pieces of equipment for the sole purpose of playing games.
I'm looking forward to finding some interesting conversation and hopefully participating a lot
