Me? No, I'm an unemployed security guard near Toronto.
Ah, so you're unemployed too. I remember seeing two marines show up to an ACS charity auction in Virginia/DC and start bidding wars between themselves... and wound up winning everything that was up for grabs.

Great auction, am fortunate to be donating more than I anticipated I would have. :) Compared to some of you, not as much but I'm extremely tight this year. Great job by everyone this year for being civil and encouraging. This is one of the reasons why I love this site and the community here.

A small story for the holidays:
I was at the local mall and the salvation army had christmas trees placed throughout, with paper tags hanging on all of the trees. Each tag had a boy or girl listed with one or two items that they wanted for christmas and are underprivileged or orphaned, so you go out get the items and bring them in.

I was just talking with my fiancee about how I had always wanted a pogo stick when I was a kid, and never got one for whatever reason. We walked by this tree, I looked upon the tree and the first one I saw had an 11 year old boy who listed a pogo stick under his wish. I couldn't pass it up.

I guess the moral is that in bidding for donated stuff here, we are granting the wishes of countless kids. I feel good to know these kids will be better off no matter how much or how little I was able to give.

Amen, and a very nice story.

I resent that remark.

I partook in shilling, last minute sniping and general jerkiness and I am damn proud of it. There's no guilt when you do it in the name of charity.

And now I have to ship stuff back to Canadia? Oh lawd.

I kid I kid.
I am proud I was Canadian for the first three months of my life. :D

But seriously, how will I ship everything to everyone?

If I have to PM everyone...Hobie-wan, pakopako (they don't count), aaron, YoshiEgg25, dsheinem (six lots; I smell hacks), AmishSamurai, MrHealthy, Anapan, MrHealthy (a bunch of times), 16bit, nickfil, GreyDor, CaptainWeasel, Hobie-wan, rocketstail, spin the demon, HylianHero, aaron, xan_racketBOY_fan, xzeronature, Crabmaster2000, Bradtemple87 and Bradtemple87, MrPopo, CaptainWeasel (again), Kelekin and HylianHero and ghost1334 (no SpaceBooger on my comic lots?), and possibly NSBAceAttorney (because I don't know if lot 207 & 210 were the same lot listed twice)
That's... that's.. that is a LOT of PMs.

I will be contacting the item donors with addresses, instructions, and what not as soon as possible.

I paid and sent the message to dsheinem but I haven't heard anything back. Not hearing anything is good right?

It will be a bit for him to get everything organized. If you didn't request early shipping you probably wouldn't hear back immediately. It is a lot of payments and organizing with shipping addresses and donors.
