I won't shoot it down before I see it (if it goes into production), as McGruber worked.

Stefon is alright in my book for the reasons you just listed. My concern would be that what makes him funny wouldn't translate to the big screen.

Don't you diss Night at the Roxbury, that movie was really dumb. I loved it.

Disney's Paperman

I LOVED this! Only 7 minutes long, but so charming. You can check it out on the Wreck it Ralph disc as a bonus feature

It's on youtube as well, and anyone who saw WIR in the theater also got to see this.

It is quite brilliant, and the streak of animated shorts preceding an animated movie is one of my favorite things. Believe Paperman won an Oscar too.

Isn't the youtube one edited though?

You used to be able to watch it on Disney's official youtube channel, but they took it down for some reason. It's possible you might still find it on someone else's channel, though. I've noticed that Disney is usually pretty cool about not removing stuff if they're not offering it themselves. I wish Viacom was.

Not that I know of. A simple search of "Paperman full" will lead you to the right place.

It's been on-line since WIR was released, and a lot of critics I know fell in love with the short more than they did the feature.

Agreed. Paperman was awesome. Very moving, and very sweet. I love the animation on it as well. I think Presto is still my favorite animated Disney and/or Pixar short, but Paperman was brilliant.

A quick check just now shows that Disney's reupped the short as a PPV, which means that they'll probably have it taken down from wherever else it is. Generally, that's the only time they do that, though. Their policy seems to be anything they put up as a PPV is off limits for other uploaders, but otherwise they allow their stuff to be shared. I think that's a fair way to do things.
