Maybe, but the way my list was sorting out...it wasn't going to be anywhere near $500. The way I game, I want small libraries and only the best experiences. The RPG's were relatively cheap - but i'll never play them. My top 10 wants after researching were gonna run me $150 average per title (*estimate, i'll dig out the list in an email I sent myself).

There must be a few heavy hitters in there throwing it off balance. Most of the best PCE games that we listed in that thread can be had for $50 or less. Sure, there are some that go into the hundreds, but they are the exception.

Here was my top 10:
1. Magical Chase (I know it didn't get a ton of love, but I think that is price driven - the gameplay is exactly up my alley, very much Mystic Riders / Cotton-esque)
2. Sapphire (would want original)
3. Legend of Hero Tonma (these are the experiences i'm after - only available here, brilliant spritework, no-dialogue platforming)
4. Renny Blaster (Castlevania meets Ninja Warriors = must get)
5. Coryoon (another like Magical Chase - just right up my alley, a shooter that is all eye-candy and exclusive to this console)
6. Bonk 3
7. Winds of Thunder
8. Bonk 2
9. Bonk
10. Soldier Blade

The first 5 on my want list would've run me $1,300+ with patience and at auction. Buy-Now would be closer to $1700.

I did sign up at PCFX forums, but honestly, i'd be there for the marketplace - I don't have enough time to actively participate in more than 2 forums - so i'd feel very disingenous just hanging out there for the dealz...and nothing seems to come up here very often for that console.

Sure...but the next five could have been grabbed for under $500...if not under $300 or less.

I would also recommend playing backups of some of these before dropping coin. The PCE-CD plays burned discs no problem...

lulz - I have NES / SD2SNES / 64 everdrives that sit untouched / unused; can't even get SD cards loaded w/files...now i'm going to burn CD's w/my chromebook

I did get my MegaEverdrive loaded and never use that either - I just can't enjoy it. I gave an honest try. Had DC burns in the past too - and same - just never enjoyed them. I know it's spoiled and psychological - but it still is.

I might get one again someday - they are plenty plentiful if one has the coin, but I really just want to focus on one thing first, and that's AES/MVS, which I expect to complete by year end.

Unwittingly helped me acquire one of my grail AES games. The boy has the heart of a 12 year old.
