What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

They also refuse to replace the washer, instead they want to fix it again and risk this problem to potentially happen again. They would rather pay $10k in home repair than replace an $850 washing machine.

This is beyond frustrating at this point. I am looking into my options and trying to pressure Samsung into preventing this from reoccurring. But I will likely have to continue to jump through customer service hoops.

Morale of the story: Do not buy a Samsung Washing machine!
WTF dude. That sucks.

Right now I periodically put old Showa era Godzilla movies on, and my daughter only stops to watch the fight scenes. I'm not sure if it's something she's going to enjoy later on or not, but I'm taking advantage of it while a I can.
For older kids, I would recommend the movies after The Return of Godzilla. The plots, fights, and "G-Force" in the Hesei era make it much more enjoyable for kids with short attention spans. Even though they normally don't sit through the whole thing, my brothers would frequently start recreating the fight scenes with their action figures while watching these films.
I'll keep that in mind. Once he's old enough to read subtitles, I'll get him into Sentai or Kamen Rider.
Smile: Went to a party at his house on Saturday since his dad got home from Afghanistan. He and four other little ones decided to gang up on me. What followed was some WWE worthy five-against-one wrestling.
Frown: The day before that, I my friend told me I would be picked up and we would go to a mall. That would have been the first normal teenager thing I've ever done. Unfortunately they never came. I assume he was referring to next Saturday. That was to be my first step towards getting a life. :(

You people make me sick.

It has been raining the past 3 days here and it just, within the last hour, turned into snow. I actually agreed to go take care of some work for my dad that is basically just me driving across one side of the suburbs to the other. I agreed to do this stuff before it started snowing so I basically have two options either do it now at the tail off rush hour or wait till traffic dies and the roads are worse.

Also I'm ticked about Futurama getting cancelled, again.

Smile: we're on vacation this week, doing house projects etc. My wife suggested some relaxation with a game night and picked out our schedule of games tonight. We played Ducktales (NES), Tetris Plus (Sat), Daytona USA CCE (Sat), Bug! (Sat), and Mortal Kombat (SCD). Good stuff. Her favorite was Bug! which was a nice surprise.

Smile: Forgot how fun it is to drive around in fresh snow. Nothing like getting a car off your ass with a couple of controlled fish tails or slowly changing lanes in front of a car that's doing 20 on the freeway so all the snow between lanes kicks up on their windshield. I hope it snows every weekend for the rest rest of the year. As long as it hits at least 70 during the week I think I could deal with it.

@ Noise
My ex loved Tetris plus while I hated it because that damn professor would always make me lose. I'm pretty sure he's actually suicidal hence why he always tries to climb up towards the ceiling of doom.

I'd be surprised if this guy avoids the death penalty, but I would think spending a long life (potentially another 60+ years) in a Supermax cell would be far worse than a lethal injection anyway.

^I say hand him over to the Russians, not the Chechens. They'll give him swift justice.

I'd hate to know tax money would go to house that jerk.

it is. and to feed him. and to pay his hospital bills. and it is going to pay to defend him.

And that's the way it should be. Everyone deserves their day in court. Courts aren't perfect and justice isn't always served, but "innocent until proven guilty" is something that needs to be respected. A humane legal system is part of what separates and moralizes the injuries meted out to criminals from the injuries criminals mete out to others.
