Don't you just hate that? That happens to me all the time. You start looking around and find a controller/av cord/adapter, but there is not a console to be found. It's very off-puttingjay_red wrote:I saw 2 crappy third party Saturn controllers nut could not find a Saturn to go with it anywhere!

I bought "The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night" for the wii today for $5. It was just the disc and I have no idea if the game is good or not but it sounded like a good deal to me. haha

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I snagged a "box of electronics" off of Craigslist today for $45. The only reason I contacted the guy is because he said there were some games in it.
Turns out, I walked away with a complete Dreamcast (with 2 VMU's and rumble packs to boot!), complete PS2 Phat (with a couple memory cards), complete PS1 (memory cards)
about 35 games for the PS2. Most are in those Gamestop yellow envelopes. About 10 have the manual in the envelope, and then about 15 are complete in box. As far as I can tell, nothing super special. Dragon's Quest 8, Magna Carta, kinda nice.
4 complete Dreamcast games (that I actually didn't own) - Record of Lodoss War, Silver, Project Wyrm or something, and some other game.
About 20 PS1 games all complete. Random RPGs, FF8, FF9, FF anthology. Not too bad.
But the kicker, Persona 1 complete and mint. This seems to be a $50 game, so basically I got all of the rest for free. If I divided everything by the price I paid, it would be like 10 cents per item or something. So this was a good find. I'll post the full list and pics when I'm off work later.

Seriously, I've never seen anything like that on craigslist. Mostly I just run into guys who want $100 for their NES.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Well Awol's got me beat today, but here's my haul. Color me a convert: despite my initial cynicism, my local secondhand circuit finally pulled through for me today.

Gamecube (no AV cables or power cord) - $7.99 the tag is still on it because I have no way to test if it actually works
NES controller in great shape - $3.99
Genesis with Tecmo Super Bowl III (not pictured,) one controller, RF adapter and a Radioshack power cable - $10
And from Craigslist, the real crown jewel of my excursion today: A GBA SP with 12 games, including Emerald, Ruby, Leaf Green, Fire Red and Minish Cap! - $30
The Gameboy seems to have some dirt or something stuck under the screen. I'm hoping I can fix that, and the unit needs a good cleaning anyways (the guy said he bought it to use while he was deployed, so there's an expected amount of dirt in it) but if I mess that up I'll just use the light on a GBC somewhere down the road. The unit itself works just fine, and I'd say it's in pretty good shape considering what it's (no doubt) been through.

Thanks for the props guys. The ad wasn't even in the videogames section, it was in the electronics section.
I usually check the videogames section first, but then I check the toys, electronics, and computer sections. LOL. Once in a while I check the collectibles section. That is where I found a boxed NES once.
Another thing, I'm happy with the games, they make up for the purchase. But I already own all 3 systems, and about 95% of the other games. Really I just wanted the Dreamcast games. Finding Persona was just a huge bonus, he didn't even tell me about it. I found it when I got home. LOL.

I saw that on CL, looked like a good buy. I'd have gone for it but I'm making a big effort to not buy any more extra stuff.pvt_awol wrote:I snagged a "box of electronics" off of Craigslist today for $45. The only reason I contacted the guy is because he said there were some games in it.
Glad there was something good in the pile.

Oh, I forgot to mention: I saw some CIB Intellivision games and a mint Playstation Underground disk (I think it was "Week 4") at Goodwill; would anyone be interested in these?
