Markies' Games Acquired List Of 2025!
1. Micro Machines (NES)
2. Luigi's Mansion 2 HD (NSW)
3. Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike (GCN)
4. SteamWorld Collection (WiiU)
5. Fight'N Rage (NSW)
6. Donkey Kong (GB)
7. Syberia II (XBOX)
8. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (GBA)
9. Final Fantasy Adventure (GB)
10. Marvel Super Heroes (PS1)
I added Marvel Super Heroes for the Sony Playstation this afternoon!
I have always been a big fan of the Marvel Vs. Capcom fighting game series. I enjoyed Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on the PS2, but I really enjoyed the PS1 versions including X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter and the original Marvel Vs. Capcom. Since I enjoyed all of these Capcom fighting games, I wanted to go back to the beginning and start with one of the original ones. Ironically, this one follows The Infinity Gauntlet storyline which has now been made famous by the movies. So, this one only has Marvel characters with the final boss being against Thanos. This game has been on my radar for quite a while, so I am excited to give it a shot along with having a rather simple and short game to play.

Just sharing my pick-ups from late April! Some awesome games posted in the thread recently.
Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (GEN) - After playing through Ys Book I & II via emulation two years ago, I've wanted to check out some other games in the series. Ys III was ported to a lot of different systems, but I went for the Genesis version. The developers switched up the style of this one, so I'm interested in checking it out.
Super Turrican (SNES) - I'm a fan of Mega Turrican on the Genesis and have heard good things about this release. This game has eluded me for a few years but I finally managed to find a clean copy.
Brawl Brothers (SNES) - AKA Rushing Beat Ran in JP. As a beat 'em up fan, I've been wanting to check out other games in this series. Looking forward to playing through this one! Might have to bring it over to my buddy's place so we can play co-op. Also, I recently read there's a code to use at the title screen to play the JP version.
Fatal Fury Special (SNES) - I have good memories playing the original Fatal Fury with my cousins on Super Nintendo and have been wanting to revisit the series. This updated release of Fatal Fury 2 has a good selection of characters in it. This series was up there with Street Fighter in the early 90s for me.

Every version of Ys III has fantastic music, and the Genesis is no exception. Its tunes are arguably closest to the PC 88 and PC 98 originals.

I got Doom: The Dark Ages today. I am excited to finally play it, as I really enjoyed the 2016 reboot and its sequel. I also bought Bloody Roar: Primal Fury for the Gamecube, which is one I wanted to get back when he Cube had just come out. I never got around to it and eventually superior 3D fighters like Soul Calibur 2 and Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance came out, so I lost interest. I saw it for a good price, so figured I'd pick it up. Finally, I bought Death Duel for the Genesis. It's just one that looked interesting to me and we didn't get it here in Europe, so it will be cool to finally own it and give a go.

Glad to hear the music in the Genesis version is good as well and it holds up against the originals.

I picked up 4 Sega games this week. I bought Ecco and Time Gal for the Mega-CD. I had wanted Time Gal ever since I first read about it in the Official Sega Magazine here in the UK back in early 1994 not long after it came out. I didn't have a Mega-CD and my parents weren't going to drop any cash on any of the add ons you could get for the Mega Drive. So 30 odd years later, I finally bought Time Gal. There are a few Mega CD games I want to pick up in the next few months. The Eternal Champions sequel and Sonic CD are high on my list. I kind of want Power Rangers too, even though it's basically just the first episode with a bunch of lame QTEs shoehorned in, but the price is astronomical
Master System isn't really a console I collect for, but I want to get into it. R-Type is a great port and Asterix was always fun when I was a kid. I had a few friends with Master Systems (or convertors for the Mega Drive) as a child, so have quite a bit of nostalgia for it.

One more pick up. I finally found Skeleton Krew for a decent price. I have been after this one for a few years, but it wasn't one I was prepared to pay a lot for. I saw this be listed by an online retro store I use for a very reasonable price, but I also had a bunch of reward points I hadn't cashed in, so that brought the price down even more.
