So is this a good time to mention that I'm looking into Toonstruck?

Oh dude!!! Yes! Christopher Lloyd in a point and click adventure game that is a mix of cool world and who framed Roger rabbit! How could you say no to that?! It actually has some pretty good puzzles that aren't extremely obtuse so I would definitely suggest it for those that want some silly camp that isn't bogged down with convoluted puzzles.

I made
a list here when the topic was suggested for Together Retro.
And, no, I have no explicit intention of beating any games. If I am enjoying one enough to finish it, so be it, but I'm just here to play a smattering of different games and to have a laugh at them.

Oooh! Toonstruck! That would be a good one to play. I have been meaning to play it for some time. I just got my picture taken with Christopher LLoyd last month inside of a Delorean, so it would be a fitting game to install. Thanks for the reminder Ack.

I'm officially in the process of installing Windows 95 on my computer via VMware. This is something I've been meaning to do for a long time anyway for several reasons, but this month's topic was the shove I needed to finally get that soup cookin'.
So wait for me, Silent Steel! We'll be together soon! I hope!

Well, I am only a little way into Toonstruck, but so far, it's ridiculous. In a good way. Not only is the animation gorgeous, Christopher Lloyd as a character works out. Yes, many of the jokes are bad, but it's an excellent representative of these kinds of cartoons. I'd go nuts too if I had to work on a show called "Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun". I appreciate just how open the world seems from the start, though so far I've mainly explored the town in Cutopia to gather items and get an idea of possible puzzles. Also, bravo to the voice case of this. There is some excellent talent.

I tried Shinobi Legions last night. It's not my style of game but I enjoyed playing it for a bit, I don't know if I will return to it.
I am thinking about playing Solar Eclipse on the Saturn next... or maybe Toonstruck since it's on both Steam and GOG.

I submit to this thread the hilarious "Gundam 0079: The War for Earth" for Playstation and PC.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJWV9-TRD1EI still plan to play some Crusader: No Remorse this month but I haven't gotten around to it.

Besides myself, also Ack, Marurun, and Sarge expressed interest in seeing yourself and J T play FMV games for this thread. It's not about "proving" anything necessarily. Rather as you are the resident experts of the genre, seeing what you both choose to play would be informative, if not influential.
BogusMeatFactory wrote:I have offered lists of great games to play as well as informative tools such as old magazines, podcasts and documentary series about the style.
Instead of scattered across other threads, it would be beneficial to have that information concentrated into the official FMV TR thread.
BogusMeatFactory wrote:I have real life responsibilities that make my free time extremely limited.
It's unfortunate you are too preoccupied for video games. I had assumed since you were so excited to see FMV win, you had intended to also engage. By "engage" I mean play FMV games and describe your experiences here. I understand now your intent is to offer encouragement, rather than mutual participation.

Howabout listing your personal top five favorite FMV games. Is that too much to ask?

From that list,
Stonekeep looks the most appealing to me.

Fair enough. The next FMV title I intend to play is entirely predicated upon humor!

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what other RB members play for this TR.

Maybe we should forgo the voting if people are going to be passive aggressive about the results every month.
I thought the back and forth in the vote thread was just fun ribbing, but apparently people are taking things personally and I apologize if I contributed to any of it.
In any case these were my additions to JT's list, re-iterated.
