Heya Dogman - the Lightspawn was definitely a Lightspawn and he was using the Priestess.

The other match that noise spectated was a different match entirely against a Warlock.

I didn't know about squelching...interesting...will come in handy...at least some times.

alright so I've banked over 1,000 gold at this point. My inclination is to buy me some decks. But I've only dipped my toe in the Arena once. Is there a huge benefit to be spending my gold there instead? What about using it on expansions? I know the Black Rock expansion is fairly new - is there a major benefit in unlocking that to play through instead of just straight buying cards?

If you plan on spending any money on the game... the most 'economic' way to do it is to buy the solo adventures with real money and use the gold on packs.

It used to be that it's best to spend gold on arena so you can simultaneously get used to the cards AND it awards you a pack, with a possibility for making up for the extra 50 gold in prizes. However, it only awards Goblins vs Gnomes packs ATM which wasn't that way before, which isn't the best for beginners.

So yeah, I would say buy Naxx with real money, ignore Blackrock for now (not too many essentials there), and get some Classic packs.

had my PC cut-out and reset during a match last night - felt bad, was getting beat, but not out, and the guy probably thought I just bailed on him - which I hate when people do :/

I'll probably play a bit tonight if anyone's around, 930 EST or so is when i'd hop on for 90 minutes...

I would say then to use gold to buy Classic packs for now and alternate between that and 700 gold each for the Naxx wings.

I had that happen, but it reconnected and continued...except it was against a different player and character and all my cards were different.
