Anyone Collect or Still Listen to Vinyl?

Went to a couple of thrift stores today looking for a stereo I could hook my record player into since the one I've got now is on it's last legs. Didn't find one, but I did snag a couple of random jazz records and the soundtrack to Pinocchio (I'm a nut for old school Disney and always pick up records of theirs when I come across one). Also, I see on Amazon that they're offering the Man Of Steel soundtrack on vinyl. I'm tempted to get it, but if I did, I'd have to download mp3s somewhere to make a cd since I'm not able to convert my LPs as yet.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Eh, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure that when that soundtrack comes out that Amazon will have their "AutoRip" mp3s ready for it.

What's autorip?

Edit: Nevermind, I looked it up. It seems like a handy service, but nowhere in the fine print does it say whether you can burn the mp3s to a cd or not. Can you?

You should be able to since Amazon's mp3s are DRM-free. They'll be VBR, but that should do until you can rip the LP yourself.

Yup (just CDs and cassettes tho - not vinyl).

Its a pretty straightforward thing- oldschool metal styles, doom metal, melodeath, and black metal seem to be pretty much the only things you can get on vinyl.

In general, when I find metal on vinyl, that's the majority I find, besides on specialty stores. Occasionally I find stuff that isn't, but when I find death metal, grindcore and the like on something besides CD, its usually on tape.
