Great possibility of a shenmue 3?

I just finished Shenmue 2 and I am fighting the urge to kill someone.

I just finished it too. Gosh, the second game is so excellent. Between beating Don Niu and having the strangest, long denouement, I simply love it. I forgot you beat Don Niu, leave Kowloon, and go hang out with Shenhua for what seems forever. That and you never really find out the relevance of the chamber. It still makes me sad that we may never hear how the story finishes.

I honestly hated the whole "Shenhua" part even though it has "the meaning" behind it. It was too borning. I loved everything else about it though.

Honestly the Shenhua part feels tacked on. It's sad to think that possibly Yu thought the third game would be following soon after the conclusion of Shenmue 2, and that this Shenhua dialogue was serving as a prologue.

Anyway, I'm reviving this thread because SHENMUE HAS INVADED MY PERSONAL LIFE. Basically, there's a Japanese foreign exchange student at my university who's apparently had a crush on me for awhile, completely unbeknownst to my clueless self, and what would her name be, but... Nozomi. She's in every way adorable, so I think I'm gonna eschew the Ryo Hazuki aesthetic and pay her some attention (and fight the urge to ask her where I can find some sailors).

So basically, Shenmue III isn't a video game... it's my life.

I liked Disc 4 the best. It was a nice change from the rest of the game. Unfortunately, like others mentioned, Part 3 will never come out.

Was Disc 4 Shenua? I have the XBox version so I'm not sure.

Maybe if someone has the crazy idea of piggybacking some of the game's development on the next Yakuza game. Darn Suzuki, if only he weren't so busy keeping Sega afloat.
