Apparently the wait time to get into a non-paid server is waiting 30+ minutes to get in a server and then having it possibly crashing when it begins.

I somehow convinced myself today that I'd hook up the 2nd Wii at my gaming setup. It has SMB2 on it from VC, so I figured it would be good to have for upcoming Together Retro. So yeah. I guess I have a Wii again that I might play.

If you're wondering this is my setup these days:

23" Acer LCD monitor w/ Neo-Flex stand for TATE

HDMI:

PS3
360

composite/S-Video thru VGA:

Wii
PS2
Dreamcast
Saturn

...so much for focusing my collection eh?

Oh! And besides the 360 which has its own arcade stick, I have adapters to use a PS2 stick on all of the other consoles (PC included). This is good news, as I'm in the works of modding two MadCatz sticks so that I just have two awesome matching sticks instead of tons of them all over the place.

Anyway, Wii-wise, you all know my style. What should I keep my eyes peeled for? Obviously I know of the handful of shmups out there. I'm also looking very forward to the Kirby compilation disc coming soon.

Played some last night and I'm unimpressed. Feels very half assed and more like a mod than an official game mode.

I FEEL LIKE COMPLAINING.

So I got Tempo for 32X a while ago and finally decided to start playing with the intention of beating it... HOLY MOLY, THIS GAME IS NOT VERY GOOD.
The level design is awful, the control is awkward/slow, and the music is pretty bad for a game with a musical theme. I love the aesthetics though, the cartoony style is fun. But they're not good enough to make this game worthwhile.

The most annoying thing is that I can't even beat THE FIRST BOSS. He's a giant shoe and pretty much every time I try to fight him, I end up dead in 30 seconds. Last night I beat the THIRD BOSS without even thinking about it! What the heck is up with the difficulty curve on this game!?

What's with the pointless little grooves in SNES games? All they do is get filled with dirt and dust and they're annoying to clean out.

The grooves on the sides of the top of the original XBox annoy the hell out of me. The rest of it looks great after being dusted, and short of using Q-Tips it impossible to get into them.
