yeah I had been thinking about that actually... I started looking into all this PC stuff and then was kind of like "oh. I'm gonna not have time to play any of it for 3 months now." haha.

I think a revision of the list may well be in order.

I gave it a shot, but I couldn't even beat the first level. :?

Wait, how were you using mouselook? W3D doesn't natively support it... You need to use a source port and even then the support is kind of shoddy.

I was playing the browser version that just launched this month. It has a mouse option.

Ahh, hadn't heard anything about that. I tried getting mouselook working maybe 6-8 months back and it was kind of a pain so I just gave up.

How does the browser version handle strafing and control customization?

Episode 2 done. Are y'all counting it as beaten once you get past Episode 3?

that's my current plan. And technically, I did already beat it -- but on the easiest difficulty, so I'm trying to beat it on the next up.

Almost done with Episode 3 and plan on finishing it today.

E3M6 has an area that is completely optional for a gold key, but it's a very confusing maze with blue walls, and guards hidden in spots. The reward is pretty decent if you like items.

Do people have any general strategy for clearing out a room? How about avoiding getting shot?

For instance, I will open a door, fire a shot, and then stand to the side. I wait for them to approach me.

Do people shoot and move side-to-side to avoid getting shot?

For those of you still playing, I found an awesome video walkthrough:

http://youtu.be/-YNw_tqRiac

This guy explains step by step everything you have to do, from strategies to kill the enemies to every secret door, everything you need is in there. I'm personally watching is videos to see what I'm missing from the later episodes :)
