So what do you think this'll bring in for auction? $200, $300, more?!

Last year, a think Popo's bid of $100 early on for Star Fox 2 was unchallenged through the rest of the auction. And granted, that's a popular game. The other couple of repro carts that were in the auction didn't fetch as much. I think Gun Hazard and Mystic Ark were the other games, but my memory is a little fuzzy. I remember them getting $40-50 each maybe? I know it's for charity, but I think not too many people are willing to pay more for something in the auction when they can get it for less elsewhere. That's one reason I thought "special edition" carts would be a good idea. You'll only be able to get them in the charity auction, no where else. HYPE!

But yeah, I'm hoping if I do Terranigma or Mana 2 that they'll get at least $60 each, being that that's their normal going price. I don't think that'll be too hard. I figure if I do Bare Knuckle III or Wily Wars, they wont get as much. Maybe $40, $50 tops for Wily Wars. Though it's hard to say, I guess, being that it's an auction.

Well Mana 2 is at $60 right now, and the auction wont start for another couple of weeks.

I'm submitting the following labels as possible final versions to choose from. They're essentially the same as the ones I posted last, with some minor touch ups (and the gold was lightened a little). So basically, there's two big questions: GOLD or SILVER? And should it have a black background? Or the tiled/checkered background?

Silver, black background:

Silver, checkered:

Personally, I think I like the silver over the gold. As far as solid black or checkers, I can really go either way.

My vote is for silver on black.

I like the checker pattern, but I'm concerned about whether or not it'll show when printed. The labels are quite small and bound to lose detail.

Silver checkered, but I think the checker needs to be at least 2 or 3 times bigger and probably lightened since it is sure to be darker after printing..

Exactly my thoughts earlier. These preview images are HUGE compared to how they'll look when printed to size.

The problem I'm having is enlarging the checkers without making them all blurry.
