I still haven't beaten Level 3. :( The walk to the boss destroys me.

If you're having trouble with the fourth boss in Splatterhouse 3, here's a quick tip:
Don't hulk out until after the boss pops out of his bubble stage. You can avoid most of his early embryo attacks by throwing him repeatedly. After that embryo bubble pops, use your power to hulk out and pummel him as quickly as you can. Remember to dodge when you see him open his mouth.

Nice - you even made the case and artwork!

How does your mini LCD work with the VGA?

yeah, with homebrew stuff I really like printing the artwork and making it look like a nice addition to my shelf-o-games.

That's not a mini LCD -- it's actually a 23 inch LED monitor. It has HDMI, DVI and VGA inputs -- so PS3, computer and Dreamcast.

I need to play Splatterhouse 3 some.
I quit playing 2. It was so unfair and not fun at all.

I'm playing 3 the most so far this month. I'm still on Level 4 though dammit. But it's defintitely my favorite of the original trilogy.

I went straight for 3, although I have a MAME rom for the original. Should I just skip 2, then? Is it worth even trying?

exactly. 1 is very difficult at parts, but never unfair about it. If you learn the patterns and practice, you can make it through. But 2 is just a dick a lot of the time.
