A handful. There will always be niche games and developers that I'll support, but I think this is the worst gaming generation by far, no competition.noiseredux wrote:no way! You like games from current gen?
What should developers NOT continue doing after this gen?

I've found that I often feel this way during the current generation, then as I look back it later on I appreciate more. But for the most part, yeah, I agree with you. We'll see if that changes later on.brunoafh wrote:A handful. But there are still gems out there. In fact, my favorite game of all-time is a current-gen game: ES IV - Oblivion. These were fantastic games, IMO, admittedly though a lot of them have an old-school feel to them:
-Batman: Arkham Asylum
-Bionic Commando: Rearmed
-Contra 4
-Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
-Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
-New Super Mario Bros.
-New Super Mario Bros. DS
-Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword
-Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
-Super Scribblenauts
-WWE: Legends of Wrestlemania
And I have high hopes and expectations for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Donkey Kong Country Returns which I haven't played yet. As well as the upcoming Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Neverwinter.

really? Hmm. Maybe cuz I'm still late to the party. I had a DS in 2007 and PSP in 2008, but didn't get a Wii until 2010 and PS3 until 2011. So I have a lot to catch up on. At the same time, I've found myself interested in/buying a LOT of 2011 games even. Imports included, though.brunoafh wrote:A handful. I would disagree, I have all three and I think the ps3 has the weaker exclusive line up. Well maybe not, but either way I am dissapointed.BoringSupreez wrote:It's not that the PS3 lacks exclusives, it's that the 360 does. I've had both, so I'm speaking from experience here.saturnfan wrote:I felt there were not enough console exclusives, particularly between Xbox and PS3. I would like to see those two systems have more unique content in their eventual new systems.

how about not sucking in general, just as capcom has in recent months.
Why did Kevin Flynn blare Journey so loud in his arcade? Was he trying to hear it from the grid?

But if they don't suck now how could we appreciate the times when they actually produce a quality product?littlecallen wrote:how about not sucking in general, just as capcom has in recent months.

I'm sure this was sarcasm, but all the same there's some perverse truth in it. There was a time before when Capcom started to suck and then got better (this just ended recently, in fact). The getting better part was definitely awesome.Opa Opa wrote:But if they don't suck now how could we appreciate the times when they actually produce a quality product?littlecallen wrote:how about not sucking in general, just as capcom has in recent months.
Not really worth sucking a second time though.

If you liked the first two, you're going to love it. Only problems:BurningDoom wrote:And I have high hopes and expectations for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption...
- A bit shorter than the first two, felt like it only took me 10 hours to complete I think. Still not bad.
- Compared to the first and -especially- Echoes, Prime 3 is extremely easy. They practically throw 90% of the energy tanks for instance at your face.
Story got a bit wacky too with a lot more going on. I like the first two a good bit more but that said it was a fitting end for the trilogy and overall, I'd say Retro made by far one of the best damn consistent trilogies ever right here. I haven't had a Wii in years but I've still got the Wii collection to play someday, can't wait.
