It's a shame since the platform looks to have quite a lot of great games but ultimately I can't really do PC games.

Anyways thanks for all the feedback everyone. I'll try to see if I can get a cheap copy of the PS2 version of Half-Life. Last time I looked online it was like $80 brand new. If that doesn't work I think I'll be fine skipping it.
Just curious, what are your PC's specs?
I have no idea. It's a family used computer that was never bought for the purpose of gaming. It's like 5-ish years old. It's a laptop. It has windows 7. Everything else is beyond my expertise to be able to tell.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

Ah, that explains a bit more. It will run Half-Life just fine. Anything older than Half-Life, it's too new of a machine for. But Half-Life should be good.

Seriously, my ~5 year old Dell laptop with XP ran HL2 incredibly well too (though this is before their more recent insane update with all the particle effects/shaders or something). Running HL1 on that should be no problem.

Finished Killzone on PS2. Now I'm playing Call of Duty Classic (aka CoD1) on Xbox 360.

I'm currently about 4 levels in. So far it's pretty good.

The graphics and framerate were probably considered impressive for their time (2003).

The campaign does seem like pretty much every other Medal of Honor game I've ever played though, so there's not much of a difference in the single-player campaign.

I guess that could be a good thing since I'm a fan of MoH. But a lot of these levels do have a "been there done that" kinda vibe to them at this point.

When I get a little further into the game I'll post my ratings on here like I did with Killzone (PS2).

And after this campaign is done I'll probably go right into CoD2. :)

Currently Playing: Crysis (360), Destiny demo (PS3), Roadblasters (MAME)

Once my Gears of War Beta addiction must sadly come to an end in a couple weeks, I'm debating playing through the campaigns in the first two Battlefield Bad Company games before the third entry releases. Is this worth my time, or am I better off following my gut and finally finishing the Killzone games?

Bioshock 2 - I wish it was coop or just didnt have the escort parts. I mean I love how they did it, I just hate escort missions. I also dont like that the melee weapon has a ammo limit and that spider slicers are bastardly strong. They fixed so much but screwed up other parts. Heres hoping that 3 will be the best yet.

8 hours in, down to 3 chapters. No guide just pulled one up to findout how much more I have left. Witcher drops on GoG tomorrow and will be taking away my free time for awhile.

The melee weapon doesn't use ammo for the regular melee attack. Its only when you spin the drill that it uses up gasoline. The spin is a more powerful attack so it wouldn't make sense for there to be no trade off.
