OH MY GOD I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

At least Burn Notice is coming back in November. Pretty short break, only 2 months or so. I guess Burn Notice will have to hold me over some more.

Hopefully season 3 of Breaking Bad will come out on DVD in a reasonable amount of time before season 4 starts. I'll probably watch threw the first 3 season before the premier of the 4th. That will help kill more time.

Breaking Bad is like a drug to me.

It was supposed to come back in reruns July 25th, but they postponed it. I guess they'll replay season 3 sometime in the fall or spring. Or winter. Or never.

Sons of Anarchy starts next tuesday. Go watch that.

I love seeing some Burn Notice love, such a fun show. With Burn Notice and Chuck, I really get my fair share of awesome spy action. Though technically Michael Weston isn't really a spy. I heard there is a movie in the works for his friend Sam, a prequel to the series I think. Probably a direct to video type thing I'd assume

No, I watched episode 1 of this and hated it. Can anyone here give a snyposis or description of why I should watch after not liking the pilot? I know tons of people who love it, but I didn't see the appeal after episode 1.

My sister-in-law watched the first 2 episodes after my brother and I bugged her to do it for a week and she said it sucked and wouldn't watch it. A few months later my brother started watching it again from the beginning and all of a sudden she loved it and couldn't get enough. We're all eagerly awaiting season 4. Give it another chance.

You have to be in the right state of mind. It's not gonna be 100% action the entire episode. I think they do a good job at making it feel more "real" than a TV show. For example, there's tons of scenes of Walter just staring. It would be REALLY boring if you weren't into it. But if you ARE into it, you're almost inside his head during those scenes. It's more like reading a book, you know what I mean? You kinda have to read between the lines when you're watching it. There's a lot of scenes with no dialog, but you have a lot of thoughts going on in your head.

Definitely try and watch a few episodes into season 1, it gets better. It's slow pace makes it a LOT more intense. Seasons 2 and 3 get even more intense. The scene with Walt's brother in law at the end of the one episode, for those that know what I'm talking about, had me in almost straight up fear. I think my reaction on page 3/4 of this thread sum it up. Also, if you read through my comments in this thread, I've talked a lot about why I think this show is great. I think this is a good quote:

See, I really liked that episode. The episode before was action packed, mainly because of the intense last scene. The episode you didn't enjoy was also suspensful, but not because of action, it was purely story driven. A LOT of stuff happened in that episode, and I thought it was intense. Gus is a bad ass, all that stuff he had done. I thought it was great. And oh yeah, let's not forget that twin seeing Walter's face and crawling out of the bed!

Jrecee wrote:Breaking Bad focuses on how these things would impact real people.

Exactly. I think BB is far different than anything I've ever seen on TV. I think it's a lot more real than reality shows!

Yeah, I don't like her either. Even early in the series, I just don't like her. I think she's an annoying person. But, I love that I don't like her. For me, it's just another element that makes the show great.

But yeah, I forget how many episodes in this is, but try and watch up to the episode where Walter passes out in the basement and breaks the plate he was holding. I think it's only 3 or 4 episodes in. If you're not hooked by the end of that episode, then this show really isn't for you. I was trying to find a good clip of "This is not meth" scene on YouTube, but none of them have that part with Walt walking away like a badass at the end of it.

Holy shit, did I hear that right? Season 4 starts on July 17th? Of THIS year? I honestly don't know if I can stand waiting a week in between episodes again this season.
