I wish I had a dollar for every time somebody on this board wished for Sega to get back into hardware.

Did you buy it new or used?

People are taking about the (possibly fake) PS3 slim. But IMO it's the 360 that needs a new design, to squelch the RRoD for good.

imagine the newly designed 360 would come up with RROD that would be a real embarrassment ! Specially if Microsoft drops the 3-year guarantee on the basis that this has no RROD.

I know this is off topic, but I think Sega has a place in the handheld market. Console market is too tough and behind it are huge giants like Microsoft and Sony that can manipulate economies of many countries. Who cares though if Sega goes bankrupt?

But more importantly, if Sega does comeback, I think there is nothing to it more than the brand name. The guys behind the brand are all gone as I hear.

omer wrote:I have to hand it to Microsoft this generation.. The 360 came at a fair price and later on upgraded for the better for cheaper! The ONLY bad thing I have to say about the 360 is the RRoD, but Microsoft has finally answered it with the new Jasper models. (so far)
From what I understand, Jasper has only reduced the failure rate to 10%. 10% is better than 30%, but you're still playing Russian Roulette. I actually just had an old friend of mine call me and ask if I could fix his recently purchased 360 (which I can't - I fix the PS2 for him once and made it able to play backups, and now he thinks I'm the God of the machine), so the problem is definitely not fixed.

my 60gb xbox red ringed also. its one of the newer models, although it was second hand. The game shop traded it for a brand new one for me because id had to take it back so many times (woo!) but still, im not the only one to have this trouble. My friends halo 3 limited edition xbox just red ringed on him too.

something tells me that in 10 years time, working 360s could be fairly rare :S
