In my mind, there is only one laserdisc player worth getting. Unfortunately, it usually sells for well more than $200:

That Laseractive is sweet. That is my next conquest, but I will wait till I see it in the wild.
Honestly I didnt realize when I was buying this player I just got that I was getting a deal or that it was somewhat rare. The one you pointed out was the only one I saw for sale anywhere.

They look like GBA rechargeable battery packs.

I was going past some op shops today and I had a good feeling after my op shop dreamcast last week. I found a few things that I'm quite happy with:
Dune 2 Battle for Arrakis (boxed) $5.00 (edit - sticker on the back shows it cost $119.95 at some point!)
Mega-Lo-Mania (complete!) $5.00
At the second one I spied a few 2600 games in a cabinet. They were horribly over-priced. They had books and bric'a'brac downstairs. In a basket were some sega games. All sports, and After Burner, and all priced way too high. The also had Alex Kidd in Miracle World for Master System. I was very excited, until I opened the box and saw that the cartridge was Alex Kidd: High Tech World, and also that the marked price was $5.95. I have wanted to score Miracle World since I recently retired my Master System 2 in favour of the Power Base Converter. I took it to the counter and pointed out that it was the wrong game, asking if, per chance, it might have been somewhere. She dug around and pulled out more over-priced Mega Drive games. No luck, so she gave it to me for $1.95! I went home happy.

Yeah, good luck with that. If you do find it, since the PACs were sold separately, you'd be very lucky to find them.
There were three PACS (add-ons), as far as I know. The Sega PAC (Genesis/Sega CD), NEC PAC (Turbografx-16/Super CD-ROM2) and Karaoke PAC.
After four years in Japan, I only saw one in the wild (with both Sega and NEC PACS!). Yeah, they very occasionally showed up in Akihabara retro game shops, but only once outside of that (at a Hard-Off in the countryside). If they are that hard to find in Japan, I can only imagine how difficult it would be in N.America.

Truthfully, I want it to be hard to find. Gives me a long term goal.
