Re: Games Acquired 2016
I found an interesting shop downtown yesterday. One side is a pawn shop (and 90% of what's in there is games) and on the other side of the building is an old fashioned video store! They even had laserdiscs, though I didn't buy any, as I don't own a laserdisc player.
What I did buy, though, was a copy of Final Fight One, and I've been loving it so far!

I dunno about the US, but Shining Force prices are definitely not any better than Fire Emblem here. The Mega Drive ones are like £25-40 and the Saturn release is £100.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Oh man Fire Emblem prices are brutal. Makes me glad I'm not a huge fan of the series, honestly. I'd much rather have a complete Shining Force or Ogre Battle set.

Picked up a Wavebird controller today. The holidays are coming up, and after my last big games room-shuffle my Wii is in a cramped place that doesn't really facilitate tons of Gamecube controllers coming off the top of it well. Might eventually just bite the bullet and shell out the dough for a 4th, but for now, one corded and 3 wireless should be good methinks.

Target was having a buy 2 get 1 free thing today with games, I had no idea going in. It applied for everything too... so I took advantage of that and got something brand new.
Battlefield 1
Titanfall 2
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Had a bday Target gift card and ended up only spending $31! Not bad.

Wow, I apparently can't read. I thought it was for the Disk System like the Tantei Club games. I might just get a copy then haha.BoneSnapDeez wrote:It's seriously the cheapest Famicom game I've ever seen not counting mahjong or baseball games. Just buy it.laurenhiya21 wrote:Man this game looks really cool. I'm completely awful with adventurey games, but I still want to play it since it seems like a cool murder mystery. The Famicom Tantei Club games interest me as well for the same reason ha.BoneSnapDeez wrote: Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken (JPN)

Seems to go for about the same price as the Saturn one, but looks like it's harder to find.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Check out the price for the Sega CD game *sniffle*.alienjesus wrote:I dunno about the US, but Shining Force prices are definitely not any better than Fire Emblem here. Were I a religious man, I'd run out and buy a game right now just to make that number 667. As I am not a religious man, I may still do that, but for purely secular reasons.

Sure, it's the "number of the Beast", in prophetic terms, but until then, it's just a number. That I get a chuckle over when it happens to pop up, and make some inane or silly joke about it.
That being said... is there something you need to tell us, Elkin?
