Oh I know there's the whole pokemon mentality to it of gotta catch em all with games. Some people just love dusty wall hangers, others play. I just find it crazy the price spread between the models. It's a learning game for me as much as getting reacquainted with the SNK stuff. I did get an account going on neo-geo forums so I'll have to start reading up more and start posting and see how that works out.

Yeah, I've started posting there a little bit. I'm in the "dusty wall hangers" camp, but I'm like that with all of my gaming platforms, not just NeoGeo. Ideally, I'd like to have a few more AES games just because of the prestige (and I'd love my system to get a little more use), but the MVS games are just so much cheaper (and it's more satisfying to play on an actual cabinet).

I'd be a liar if I wasn't part of the dusty group, but it's something I've chipped away at for probably 6 years now pretty religiously on top of finds I flip I find I don't enjoy when I get them. The liar part is that because I grew up with certain stuff of the 8/16bit era I just can't in good conscience part with the stuff even if they don't get used for 1, 5, 10 years... because they're mine and always have been. I've boxes aside kept most of my old NES and SNES games that were bought, b'day, christmas or rare randomly gifted to me. Gameboy at one point I purged stupidly, but I've picked up anything at this rate pretty much that hasn't aged like sour milk (and in turn ditched a few NES/SNES games that stink to high hell now that were fine for the time.)

Even some of my MVS games will end up wall bait just because of the overlap with 161in1 cart, but I justify it as that's a potentially cheap chinese pos that'll break due to crappy dust/build room parts/conditions while the odds are the MVS cart won't. I'm even picking up some overlap cartridges for it that rock in case it does or I get fed up with it being around as I put multicarts about the same level as a flash kit, fun fluff but no personal value to it.

If I wanted to buy Neo Turf Masters I saw your rating here for crap vs awesome label, but what about if you wanted the mini marquee or the entire kit within the box?

Neo-store seems to want $130 for it (plus 10 to ship it.) I've seen some clown on ebay turn down 150 for a kit, but ebay is ePay greed excessively so it appears on NG stuff for whatever reason as it appears mostly non-BINs get bought at more reasonable levels. I can't find one for this title to base it off of who is high or not.

EDIT: UPS screwed me yesterday and drove around with my 3 new games all day, this time they delivered it (early for them) somewhere between 11-12:30 here. Spin Master, Mutation Nation and World Heroes. While the first was clean the other two were pretty dirty inside and out, not rust but that step before with the crusty black stuff on the pins and I can't even get it entirely off using magic eraser. Games work, hope it's abated now but if not, any ideas on clearing it off there? Also what do you do it clean a MVS cart that still has the factory SNK silver sticker on the side as I don't want to cut it to clean the games. Am I stuck going old school Nintendo on it with a cleaning kit (or qtips) with alcohol? Spin Master looked so good I bought it blind due to positive info about it, not very long at 5 stages and fairly easy as i went through maybe 4-6 fake quarters tops. Quite fun, colorful, almost relaxing and amusing too. A total easily replayed game for certain.

Hey MJ, just wanted to add that I bought Miracle Adventure today off of eBay today for 245 before shipping. If that helps with the average.

... It's funnier to assume you mean mvs. Just saying.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

So I have a question. Since my broke ass can't afford a neo geo I have to resort to ps2 and my neo geo ports. Questions I have on kof
1. How good I'd kof 97 on ps2. I have seen mixed reviews on it and gameplay
2. Why the hell is kof 02/03 so damn expensive? It's always around 50.00 complete? Are those games that good for kof series?

Not sure if it would float your boat or not but you could wait and see if SNK/Humble Bundle do another sale on their SNK collection. Yes it's a ripped off emulator they licensed, but you get the legit ROM sets for over 20 MVS titles. They single boot as a windows install, no DRM required via Steam.

https://www.humblebundle.com/store/search/search/snk

I got the entire package for the anniversary late last year for around $10 or so. With no sale it's 6 games for $15 (times 4 to get them all.)

mjmjr -- Yup totally windjammers. Love how they either pretend to not be aware or really aren't of windjammers saying there is no game out there like it.
