I was thinking about making a carrot, lettuce, and rabbit sandwich.

Sounds a bit more offensive now, doesn't it?
Not really...if anything, it is less offensive than a cheeseburger.

That said, my wife ordered a rabbit dish the last time we were in Spain, and she could not finish it because it reminded her too much of a childhood pet...

Luke, I totally read that in Elmer Fudd's voice.

It's not really that special. I've eaten rabbit stew once at a friends house. Mid meal, my friends grandfather informed me of how lucky he was that the rabbit had run into the wheel of his old farm truck, but it survived so he took a machete to it. I just quietly finished my meal, as I was a guest and didn't want to offend the chef. I probably won't ever knowingly eat it again.

By the way, you guys made me blush. Thank you both for your kind words.
I'm here for your body.

No...

She had a rabbit as a pet when she was a child. Apparently, while she was dining, she couldn't stop thinking about it; so, she passed her dish to me. I thought is was delicious. (That said, it would have been more delicious if the restaurant had just used chicken or fish.)

We were in Tarragona when she ordered it BTW...what a beautiful city!

A lot of people think I'm creepy, because I sit around by myself, quietly playing video games or reading. I guess there was a girl who thought that was cute or whatever.

I know none of this means shit, because it didn't mean anything to me when people told me crap like that. Just made me angry that some other loser was flaunting the fact that they had a relationship and I didn't.

EDIT:
Oh, and the previous relationship mentioned was a weird one. It was founded on "pity", and was hell after a couple years. We were friends and both of us were extremely socially awkward. After talking one night, we both decided to start dating because we probably weren't going to find anybody else. Sound weird, right? It was, and it led to years of mixed feelings and ended horribly. Bleh...
Things are going pretty well for you right now man, and I have to say, there is no reason for you to be so down about things. Like Luke said, you are set up man, things are good to go for you.

Most of my "issues" are from just general teenage angst- the girls I want don't pay me any attention, and I don't really have any girls into me. I've noticed over the last couple years that all the girls who pay me any attention, are all around 23 to 27, with women slightly older than that paying a bit of attention. I guess its just not my time yet or something, I don't know. Or I only attract girls who are looking to get married... hmm.

I liked bear when I tried it. Might be a case of how its cooked or some such. The marbling on those cuts was AMAZING.

It must have been...each time I tried it, it was way to "gamey" and it had the texture of shoe leather. Maybe they were just old bears...

Also, FD, you need to play Final Fantasy VIII...like...right now. I was an angsty teenager when the game was released, and I loved it. I don't think that I would enjoy it as much now that I am older, but no game does a better job of capturing the feelings you are experiencing right now.

Finally, keep your head up. I was shy in high school as well, and did not have a lot (i.e., any) real girlfriends. Things picked up a lot in college ("Thanks, alcohol!"), and looking back, there were a lot of girls who were way into me when I was a teenager. I was just too oblivious to realize it...Keep being a nice guy, take love, sex, and romance off of their pedestals, and everything will work out for you.

(Also, being attractive to older women is a trait that will serve you quite well once you reach the age of 18. If you are already getting the attention of 23 - 27 year old women, then you have a lot to look forward too. )

 I now have an irrational fear I'll get raped by college aged girls after my 18th birthday.

I played Final Fantasy VIII a few months after my first girlfriend dumped me. It was cathartic. I know i was just projecting my own feelings onto the game, but yeah, now is probably the best time to play it

If you miss this chance, you may never be able to enjoy it. That would be like watching Digimon as an adult.

I'll try it when I get the chance. Might have to go the emulator route, as I don't have anything to play it on.
