Hey man, I used to be there and I still am. I have absolute shit for self-esteem and still can't talk to other people (especially girls). A lot of people think I'm creepy, because I sit around by myself, quietly playing video games or reading. I guess there was a girl who thought that was cute or whatever.

I know none of this means shit, because it didn't mean anything to me when people told me crap like that. Just made me angry that some other loser was flaunting the fact that they had a relationship and I didn't.

EDIT:
Oh, and the previous relationship mentioned was a weird one. It was founded on "pity", and was hell after a couple years. We were friends and both of us were extremely socially awkward. After talking one night, we both decided to start dating because we probably weren't going to find anybody else. Sound weird, right? It was, and it led to years of mixed feelings and ended horribly. Bleh...

I had a really intense telepathic experience on XTC years ago. I'm not kidding. My friend said something, and I'd complete his sentence. We could also guess each other's thoughts time after time that night. The most random things. There was a third person there that night too. That person didn't share the telepathic connection. He didn't understand what was going on at all or what we were saying. One of the most fascinating experiences I've ever had...

They were blue elephants IIRC. Speedy stuff.

I can't say I've had any telepathic experience. I did take hallucinagens many many times as a young adult/ teenager and even then I never did. I never did quite achieve any level of hallucination. At my worst the walls would "melt".

Still laughing at Jim Gaffigan's line about Disney World:

The best ride at Disney World is the air conditioned bus that takes you back to your Hotel.

Jim Gaffigan is one of my favorite comedians. I personally loved this line:

"Have you ever received your neighbors mail by accident? I just look at it and say... well, looks like they aren't ever going to get this!"

I agree. I particularly enjoy the part of his routine where he brags about how hard he "parties" by talking about how many pieces of cake he pounded the night before.

Well...you shouldn't be! It sounds like you have a steady job, are financially independent, and have built a great family that includes an absolutely precious daughter. Honestly, I think you are doing better than the vast majority of young people, especially in this economy. (Also, you shouldn't have the least bit of concern about how well you talk to girls...You're married! It no longer matters how well you talk to girls! You probably shouldn't be doing that anyway! )

Jim Gaffigan stuff: Love the dude, love most of his comedy. Can't blame the guy for appealing to the masses, and somehow he's done it with incredible tact. How he isn't "Bigger" than larry the cable guy is something wrong.

Jinx stuff: I know you always seem down in the dumps...but HAVE YOU LOOKED AT YOUR WIFE LATELY? She's a proper stunner pal. You dwell man, if you are happy or sad, you dwell. That might be inevitable, so you might as well dwell on the good stuff. Your Girlie, Your Daughter, Your Job (or the money it provides), Your Friends.

Live in the present dudeface. Bringing up old nonsense doesn't serve any good. The past is the past.

Since she's a member, I didn't want to come right out and say it...but Luke is right. You are doing quite well. (Also, she posts on a retro-gaming forum! How cool is that! To my knowledge, you two are one of only three couples that post on here.)

I have had it several times, and in all instances it was unremarkable (i.e., any dish you could make with rabbit would probably taste better if you used a different meat). It isnt' offensive - like bear - but you aren't missing anything.

Agreed. I like it best in a stew.

I was thinking about making a carrot, lettuce, and rabbit sandwich.

Sounds a bit more offensive now, doesn't it?
