Oh man I might have to turn in my man card if I used a maxi pad  we shall see!
Eh, the surgeon suggested it to try, and I have had other doctors agree with the assessment. Plus now, when women complain about their periods, I get to school them in how a man handles that kind of crap.

Haha yeah I read that too. We shall see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestions.

BREAKING NEWS!: There's been two explosions near the finish line of the boston marathon. No one's been reported dead yet, but at least twelve people were injured. We don't know yet if it was an act of terorism or a very bad accident, but if it was deliberate, I hope they catch who did it and throw the book at em.

"Witnesses said several victims lost limbs"

Christ.

This seems to have been planned.

Too early to tell, I'd say. Two explosions, sure, but give it a couple of days. Right now, just hope that the danger is over.

I didn't hit anything and I'm fine but all my work stuff in the back is shifted and fallen over so I'm going to have to rearrange it all. I'm getting really sick of this rain.
We never got rain, just thick and heavy snow, 5 more inches of it on top of the 18" from Thursday night, which was on top of the 12-24" that hadn't melted yet. The stuff is just like peanut butter, can not move in it.

School had 2-hour delay, so they'll get credit for the day, which is a relief. Took me an hour to get out of my drive, but better than Friday when I didn't make it out all day.

I have a defense class in Moose Lake today and it's only 1 of 2 dates this group gets together all year, so if I have to cancel due to weather, it'd really be letting down a ton of people. On top of that, any time I have a night class, my wife and kids make plans to get other things done w/o me since we really don't like being apart - so they all have plans already. Really hoping for a day of no more precip and the plows can do their thing.
Ouch. I'm done complaining now. We got 4 inches last week then it has just switched between snow and rain but none of the snow has stayed really. We almost had no snow left on the ground, except for where buildings cast shadows, before we got the 4. Man that's just crazy though, snow days in April?

Of course, but my gut says this may have been planned.

I'm hoping our Commander in Chief has an announcement with details, and soon.

Hotels are being evacuated in Boston, and NY according to CNN (which is no longer reliable).

And how about the runners who didn't give a flip and kept running towards the finish line?

I wonder about timing though. The winners finished the marathon several hours ago.

President Obama has been notified and is in talks with the local government about the response.

Supposed claims of deaths, though nothing that seems to be verified.

Also, from the standpoint of someone trying to send a message with a bomb, wouldn't a sports stadium or convention center be a better target than a marathon?
