Glad to see you improving. It should go without saying scores are incredibly exponential in this game, so getting that first trillion is a hell of a lot harder than the second trillion.

FWIW, I use arcade sticks for everything, and the controls seem very responsive and consistent on the DC for me.

Here's a DC score. Used the Stranger. Not as overpowered as one may think; the balance comes with the rather pathetic Force Bomb it uses. Good for canceling bullets, nothing else. Easy to get 100% boss breaks though. I forgot how much this game can tear up your thumb on the d-pad. I know "use the analog stick", but I'm old school.

Final boss! Well, the final boss/TLB take up all of stages 6 and 7, so I'm getting close.

For the record, this is still fairly low in terms of score. I had the multiplier up to around 5 million in this run, while expert players are able to max out the multiplier (50 million) by Stage 5.

EDIT:

Finally have a score to post. Damn near hit 1 trillion. Probably would'a done it if I hadn't taken the lamest death ever just before the boss. The two stupid deaths just before that didn't help either. Kind of a damper on a really solid stage one where I was able to milk the boss for a 320 billion stage score. Oh well.

The main difference is slowdown (more on the CPS2 than DC), but there are other minor differences, I guess some of the small enemies are in different places.
