FOR FUCK'S SAKE, IT'S NOT A SPAGHETTI WESTERN! Who edits these shit ass "reviews"? It's like saying "HOT TUB TIME MACHINE is a Marx Bros. movie with more of an edge". They aren't the same fucking thing. ARGH!
A review from the AP on BULLET TO THE HEAD:
"This is the kind of brainless action movie Sylvester Stallone would have starred in circa 1985. That it stars a Stallone who's closer to 70 than 60 is just ... weird."
It's supposed to be a brainless action movie. Does Sly look 70? No, so who gives a flip? The movie title is "BULLET TO THE HEAD", what do you expect? I thought it delivered on what it promised. It's not great, but it never said it was going to be.
I gave Rebox a try for the first time yesterday, and rented Dredd on Blu-Ray.
And it was awesome. The quality of the film/camera seemed low at times, but most everything else made up for that. Hard music, plenty of blood, gratuitous violence. The female supporting character doesn't fall into the usual tropes, which I greatly appreciated. This is how a Judge Dredd movie should be, and if they decide to make another one that'll be fine by me.

Well, they're making The Raid 2, so I'm sure Dredd 2 will be right along once it's finished, lol.

From what I understand though, Dredd bombed hard. Sequel seems unlikely unless it really picks in DVD sales or something.
Fair to say Dredd borrowed from Raid.
Dredd was great, but yeah it flopped when it shouldn't have. It was way better than the Total Recall remake but didn't have the backing.
Going to have Mexican left-overs and watch THE THREE AMIGOS. Ole'!
