At least on me it never worked well. Or maybe living in a swamp just meant that everywhere else made enough sweat to make up for it.

Confession: I have a Antiperspirant caddy. Hand to God my body develops a tolerance to antiperspirants, so I switch it up depending on the occasion. Mitchum, Degree, Certain Dry, Old Spice, Gillette extra dry. I've had the same stick of Gillette extra dry since 2010, and although the scent smells like a funeral home, the stuff is aces when it comes to warding off wet pits. Worked so well I even thought about putting the stuff on my forehead before business meetings.Hobie-wan wrote:LIES!Luke wrote:Antiperspirant prevents, well, quite obviously perspiration.

Take it slow and easy for awhile.
Try to stick with a consistent schedule - you don't have to run every day, but try to develop a "groove" your body becomes accustomed to.
You can find good training plans for 5K races and whatnot online. I used to follow some of these, but for now I just prefer to take it easy and run on my own terms.
Good luck!
Cool, thanks guys!RyaNtheSlayA wrote: Bone pretty well covered everything that needed to be said. I feel like I need to emphasize how important a good pair of shoes is though. They can be a bit pricey but in the end it's both easier on your joints and more comfortable to run long periods if you get a nice pair. Running and working out in discomfort is a terrible feeling.

Seriously, I can't get ANYTHING to work. Its embarrassing as hell, and I have to be careful about what I wear, or else be careful of where my arms are at all times.Hobie-wan wrote:LIES!Luke wrote:Antiperspirant prevents, well, quite obviously perspiration.

I used to sweat a good deal under my arms, but found that this works miles better than any other deodorant I ever tried:Forlorn Drifter wrote:Seriously, I can't get ANYTHING to work. They had problems that fast? Holy crap.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Get new shoes now!
Every year I have kids come out to track wearing hiking boots, tennis shoes, Vans, whatever.... Within two or three days their legs are destroyed. Eventually I didn't even let kids practice until they had proper running shoes.
If you shop at Olympia Sports or whatever ask if they still have last years model of the shoes you like - you can get 'em for half off that way.
Use the site coolrunning.com to find local races in your area. Any race worth running is usually on there.

Yeah DHL are pretty terrible. There is another local mob in my area called AEE who are by far the worst. They leave tickets in your mailbox saying you weren't home and drop your item off at the post office. The problem is that half the time they don't even check to see if you're home in the first place, they just throw the ticket straight into the mailbox and you then have to go to the post office. The post office is a whole different rant because they're only open till 5pm on weekdays, and not open at all on the weekends. How am I suppose to get there if I work full time in a completely different place?elmagicochrisg wrote:From now on before I buy something I will ask the seller what shipping service they use. If they use UPS or DHL I will simply refrain from buying from them. I'm fed up with them leaving packages at the entrance unattended or giving them to my neighbours. Or in case they actually leave a note, I'm fed up having to stay home all day because they can't give you an estimate when they will be coming. Between 8AM and 6PM. Fucking great. It's 11AM now. They probably won't come until around 5PM. But they might just as well be there in 5 minutes. So I can't leave the house. What a shit service...
