While the light is a neat feature, I've read that they short out controllers. I'm not all for third party unless its an absolutely necessary accessory.

The short is from the controller port, I think it fails from a controller getting unplugged while the vibration motor is on. Mad Catz is the vibration pack I use, never have issues. However, sometimes two lightguns with Force packs, the vibration motors do not work in House of the Dead, but with only one force pack plugged in not a problem. I think the MadCatz Force pack has a little more amp draw then the Sega version, it really shakes.

BLACK!!! Nice. Are the Black ones transparent or solid colored?

And, you have that many jump packs?! MADCATZ?! Hope you don't plan on plugging those into any controllers any time soon
They are transparent "smoke" black, got them a couple of years ago from ebay in a lot of 6 for £12 with "FREE" UK shipping the seller has more...

I got lucky with the brand new Madcatz rumbles, all 12 were won at auction for £5 with free shipping :D
Never experienced any problems with them myself :)
As CRTGAMER posted the flashing light and more intense rumble makes the Madkatz rumble far superior when playing Rez.
Thier lightgun, in my opinion, is also superior, NO it has nothing to do with making the games easier

Black will certainly be my next color choice for VMU -- picked up some more games and starting to run out of space -- some games can take up nearly half the VMU!

I got the MadCatz DC gun, only because

-- Sega didn't release the official Japan/Euro gun in the US and had MadCatz manufacture it with Sega's design/blessing
-- I heard bad stuff about the Interact and the Pelican guns

Works good on all my games, properly calibrated and at a good distance from the TV -- auto fire and reload rocks too!

I found a Dual Analog SCPH-1180 today in my box of old PS1 equipment.

Image

I've had the thing since it came out and hardly ever used it. Boxed it up and forgot about it for years. It wasn't until recently that I knew that they were rare.
