is The Collector the one with the guy who's breaking into the house but finds someone already broke in? If so, I enjoyed that one.REPO Man wrote: The Collector. I tried to watch it but somehow couldn't finish. Not entirely sure why.

I'm 99.9% sure HARVEY is my favorite movie of all time. I'm not kidding. As much as I love action and adventure movies, HARVEY is timeless. It should be prescribed to people with depression as the second Elwood P. says "Ah. Well, every days a beautiful day" you look at the world a bit differently.fastbilly1 wrote:HARVEY
No matter how hard people try to suppress Dowd's happiness, it's not going anywhere. In fact he welcomes it as he's hoping to make your day better.
"He'd be delighted. He'd be delighted."
BULLET TO THE HEAD
Fans of Stallone are going to eat this up as he gives his best performance since THE EXPENDABLES. If you like the trailer, you'll like the entire movie. It's ridden with every cliche in the action book, and it's not that smart, but it works.
Don't expect THE EXPENDABLES level of action, but there is plenty of action. The glue that holds the movie together is Sung Kang. His banter with Sly is a big part of the movie, so don't expect explosion after explosion after explosion.
Nothing phenomenal, but a solid action movie.

A buddy of mine had probably the best casting decision I've ever heard of in my entire life:
Larry David as the Vulture in the Spider-Man Universe.
Thinking about Larry David being Larry David as the Vulture is excruciatingly hilarious. I picture Larry putting on the Vulture suit while looking in the mirror looking completely miserable. Jump into my brain, leave and tell me it isn't funny.

I watched Seven Psychopaths the other night.
Started off strong and somewhat tarantino esque. But the 2nd half of the movie was a let down. Colin Farrel was pretty poor, though I did like Woody Harrelsons performance. The movie became boring, and afterwards I was left thinking wtf did I just watch.
It tries too hard to be different and funny at some points. It occurs in weird spontaneous ways but just doesn't work...

Agreed. I have a strong feeling it will age terribly and end up in the dollar bin.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I thought it was funny. But that serious/funny dialogue like in In Bruges.

Funny, but ham-fisted. Walken is at his Walkenist and Woddy at his Woodyist. Just because it is forced doesn't mean it is not funny, but they could have pulled it back a bit.indecks wrote:I thought it was funny. But that serious/funny dialogue like in In Bruges.

Rhino and Electro have been named as the villains for Amazing Spider-Man 2.
I can see Electro. His powers will probably look pretty cool on the big screen. But Rhino? I'm not sure that would've been my first choice.

Well, I'm glad they're branching out on villains. I wonder if they'll go with the more sympathetic Rhino of recent years.BurningDoom wrote:Rhino and Electro have been named as the villains for Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Still, Electro and Rhino sounds fun. Rhino may just be a bruiser, but I bet he will make for an exciting brawl with lots of destruction.
Edit: And since I'm here, I'll say that last night I got my wife to watch Die Hard. She loved it and now she's all excited to watch Die Hard 2. I love this woman.
Tonight, we Die Harder!

I wonder if they'll use the ultimate r.h.i.n.o. version. I can see Giamatti as the little guy stuck in a cybernetic suit.
