It's a lot easier if you start out telling them you're just not drinking that day. Once you get some time under your belt people seem to have less of that "that's dumb" attitude. I've tried taking a month off plenty of times before and met the same attitudes. But i'll be 15 months dry next week, and now most people I know ask me how I did it instead of coming down on me for not "partying".

And today's beverage of choice: Simply Lemonade with Raspberry. Which didn't taste as good as it did last weekend, but i'm chalking that up to the 40 degree temperature difference.

Don't drunk much. I got really sick one time, and can hardly take the smell of alcohol lol.

But I used to like dark and strong beers like Guinness and Left Hand Nitro. Then during a summer vacation in Florida, I just couldn't drink it anymore.

I like lighter beers now like Corona and Rolling Rock.

Guinness barely has a hint of alcohol in it. Very malty though.

Mountain Dew Game Fuel Lemonade. Tastes exactly as you imagine -- lemonade and MD together.

Oh but yes I'll go with that too, especially now since it's available from the fountain at Circle K.

Drinking lots of water to help offset my unending thirst for carbonated beverages.

Recent study suggests regular soda consumption shortens cell telomers, similar to smoking. This raises risk of heart disease and other conditions. : (

I am pretty sure the heart disease may have more to do with the caffeine than anything, BUT 100% sure that Soda is not good for you no matter how you spin it. Gotta try and switch to 100% juice, which may make things easier, with tons of extra water.

I've got a problem.
