Oh, I must have read it wrong.

How long does their economy shipping generally take? It's beyond me how they can charge $8+ to ship a few comics First Class.

Late reply is late:
Midtown: If I remember correctly, it took less than a week, I think.
TFAW: No idea, they ship them to a store for me.

Reading some of the material that follows The Death of Superman: The World Without Superman and The Return of Superman.

World Without Superman is one of the best comic arcs in a long time. One of the best Superman stories. It may not be good movie fodder or action packed, but it is a nice break from the action and world saving to show what a hero truly means to people.

oxymoron wrote:Where are some good places to buy comics online? I'm really new to comics. Midtown/MyComicShop seem to have the best prices but the worst reviews in terms on shipping quality. People said the comics come all bent. How is Tfaw.com?
I've only received one order I've had to return to mycomicshop due to condition and they promptly refunded me for it. I recommend them but sign up for their weekly email for their 10% off codes.
For graphic novel, TPB, and HC purchases instocktrades and Tales of Wonder are both solid choices. For single issues check out Comic Collector Live, a site with individual sellers but worth checking out. However prices, shipping, and customer service differ from store to store.

Archie, huh?
What a crazy move.

Archie's dead, Thor is a woman and Captain America is now Afro-American!
If I were a cynic I'd say these were deliberate ploys to drum up sales that won't have any meaningful impact on the current continuity, have already been done before and will be forgotten about in a year. If I were a cynic, I'd say that.

I indeed found that much to be the case. It was rather refreshing to see the personal side of some of these characters in greater depth as well.

I'm generally nervous about picking up new comics because of how quickly they get axed, but probably going to start reading the new Ms. Marvel comics since I've heard so many good things about them.
