The first concert I ever went to was Unwound. This was back in either 93 or 94 and they were just starting to tour for "New Plastic Ideas". I didn't know who they were at the time, I was just there because my friend's band was opening. We were in a tiny concrete walled basement with maybe 25-30 people there. The feedback rife guitars, crashing drums, and angsty vocals just tore me apart. It was one of those life changing kind of moments where you suddenly realize "This is my music. These are my people." I've seen them a bunch of times since then, but that was a hell of a way to begin my lifetime full of concert going and partying.

That is flat out amazing! Gotta love basement shows with great bands.
