Hi I'm Andrew

I am a Sega Fanboy and have a hatred toward Nintendo/Wii lovers (sorry)

I collect retro game consoles but also play new ones. I have an Xbox 360 and do some Steam gaming on PC. My favorite game is Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion. My PSP broke so I bought a Dingoo. I also love the Saturn

Hey yo!

I'm Scott.. I live in the Southern part of New Jersey, about 10 miles outside of Philly.
Yes, I do like Rocky and cheesesteaks.

I'm 28 years young, and currently pursuing a gig as a High School English teacher.
Anymore I seem to research and write more about video games than I play them. (I even contribute monthly as the retro specialist to a brand new gaming e-zine.) My favorites are from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras. I still play modern games, but mainly research and collect games from 1985 - 2002. Old school RPGs, (or JRPGS as I guess they've just recently been tagged as now,) and fighting games are my main love!

I am also a fencer, competitively, and am returning to the piste after 10 years away from the sport. Musically, I dig everything, but I really jam out to industrial, metal, techno/trance, and 90's grunge and new jack swing.

Anyway, I'm very laid-back and I'm very willing to offer help and advice on anything on this website, so feel free to hit me up and talk!

Welcome to all the latest members! Always great to have new members with their experiences and ideas. No worries if new or seasoned, everyone can contribute. You could modify your signature link if you want to, and show what systems you own. Also if you have not tried that blue links bar above in particular "Topics" and "Guides", Racketboy has provided a wealth of information on various systems.

NGPC and new entry to the forums

Post by Riqz85 »

Hi everyone. New entry here to the forum. Been a fan of videogames since I was small. Especially console videogames. Started with a Sega Master System II still in my possession and working!

Just wanted to bring up how I'm trying to buy most of the consoles that I missed growing up, and recently bought an NGPC.

Not only is it a great little machine but seriously guys... how FRIGGIN cool is the joystick on this little beauty?

I'm amazed the PSP joystick is so crap. Didn't they learn anything from the NGPC. It is pure delight playing with it and controlling the games is fantastic.

I now own just metal slug 1st mission (AMAZING) but there's more coming in the post including Dark Arms, Match of The Millennium Neo Turf.

I was trying to find Faselei! but the only cheap ones are Japanese (and i think they are heavy Kanji, can someone confirm?) The PAL and US versions reach astronomical prices. Any tips?

Thanks,
Riqz.
