Obviously he had enough potential to carry a disastrous "reality" show.

I find this interesting. Do you think if he hadn't been on drugs that his life would still have interesting and worthy to be on TV Luke? Also would anyone have watched Jersey Shore if had been a bunch people that didn't drink?

I didn't know he was a user. People who worked with him said he had an incredible charisma and was extremely likable. His antics were the highlight of the show.

I've never seen the show but after reading that article you linked I'm definitely leaning towards him being a heavy user. I'm sure that if he was that it had to have been "over looked" by the people involved with making the show. It's not like the people at MTV have a stellar track record when it comes to things like this either, what with the toothbrush thing from real world and the fact that they basically just recorded a bunch of drunk idiots and called it a show.
