GBA AGS 101 Black with charger and 3 games. Pokemon Yellow, Mario Land 2 and Killer Instinct. Not bad considering the games are worth $30 alone.

- $47 shipped via ebay

360 120gb Hard Drive - $17.99
Another daily deal from Gamestop, the used Hard Drive normally retails at $49.99. The Daily Sales Calendar has the drive at $19.99, however used merchandise with a Power Rewards card automatically get an additional 10% off!

Gamestop Daily Sale Calendar: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 92#p531492

In verifying which Gamestops have the hard drive in stock I found a brand new location nearby! Knowing that all used electronics are supposed to but do not always get sent back to the Gamestop Refurbish Center for verification, I headed over to the newby Gamestop. The new location was open less then a week and the employee confirmed to me EVERYTHING in the store came from the distribution center and not local.

Clean drive in a nice Gamestop storage package. All stickers still on the drive! Took it home and verified that the drive works, downloaded a couple of files. :D

Metroid Other M - $4.99 Best Buy
Thanks to dsheinem Post, a great price! A one day sale at Best Buy Online. It initially rang up at $49.99. Just like the Fling Smash Bundle last week I had to ask the employee to price match their Web site price. :?

I have always put off buying this game because of the 3rd person view. After buying it, turned out its more of an old school platformer following inspiration to the original NES style of game play. The Remote is a NES Pad! 8)

My GF bought Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition, Mass Effect 2 and Sly 3 all for 13 dollars. Damn good deal, but I was hoping to get Metroid M for my little nephew, as I haven't gotten him anything yet and he only has a Wii. Sorry little guy, I tried. :(
Veriz wrote:In case you didnt get this awesome deal for $4.99, looks like GameStop has it listed for $6.99 on their web site....but $8.99 for a used copy since the new one is on sale lol. Still not a bad price for the new copy though.
Price Disparity
Gamestop regular price for Metroid Other M Has been new at $9.99 for quite a while. Best Buy regular price new is $49.99 and the one day sale dropped it to $4.99. Last week the Wii Fling Smash Bundle with a Remote went for $7.99 at Best Buy online and $49.99 at the Best Buy store.

I had to point out once again their own Best Buy online price to get the discount in the Best Buy store. One really has to shop around to get the best price on video games.

Impulse Buy?
I really don't get why Best Buy did the one day sale only online for Fling Smash and Metroid M. Usually impulse buys are heavily advertised as bait to get a customer to visit the store. Once a customer is in the store the idea is the customer might buy other things during the shopping.
CRTGAMER wrote:Unlike Gamestop which has the same price online or locally, Best Buy does not sometimes. The Best Buy price match to their own web site will only happen if the customer points it out. Any purchases at Best Buy should always be checked online for any unknown sale or discount.
Gamestop has a Daily Sale Calender.
Does Best Buy post something similar?

Got the Best Buy $4.99 deal on Dragon Quest IX for DS. Picked up three copies. Had to show them the online price but they gave it to me. Originally priced at $34.99 so $30 off is amazing.

This was also $15 on and after black friday. Crazy how low they're pricing that game.

Picked up two of those cheap 120GB Xbox hard drives.

Also picked up Contra III - The Alien Wars - $9

Everything here I found at the Mormon version of GoodWill: (Deseret Industries, locations: http://providentliving.org/content/disp ... -1,00.html)

Image

Street Fighter II' Special Champion Edition (Genesis - Complete In Box - replaces my cart-only copy) - $3.00
Sunset Riders (Genesis - box and cartridge, no manual - awesome game) - $3.00
The Sims 3(PC - Complete In Box?) - $2.00

And for some reason I found these:

It isn't that uncommon to find foreign souvenirs from this store. A lot of Mormons go on missions to these countries and bring back random souvenirs. This is the first time I have seen any Japanese games there. I dug them out of the VHS tape section and paid $1.00 each.

Some Japanese Mega Drive I have no idea what it is.
And some Japanese Famicom game, a Romance of the Three Kingdoms (?) game.

I'm not into import gaming at all and I am hoping someone here can tell me a) what these games are and 2) do I have anything special?

The Mega Drive game has the box and manual, but both appear to have some wear / discoloration:

The FamiCom "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" game has a lot included (manual, poster, map, registration card, and some other cards) all of which I would say are near mint:

Haha wow. Mormon missionaries would not be buying a Crayon Shin Chan game if they saw the TV show.
