It's my duty! I do the writeups and I support this program! So even if it's a game I'm not gonna hold the best score in for 2 weeks till the end of the month, well, then I have to keep trying. At first it was nearly impossible to get to 1 mil, and I'm seeing that 1.5 is a quite lofty goal at this point too. Again for me it's not the enemies or the bullets, it's the points. Gotta get whatever you can and make sets. I'm glad there's more of an emphasis on that rather on survival, so getting to Stage 3 with a good score is more of value than getting far and scoring little.

Yeah, scoring in this game is something else. You really have to craft your own path to ensure you get what you are going for. I like trying for Axes on stage 1, since food pretty much comes at you anyways.

The nice thing is, if someone doesn't want to score... its still unlikely they will make it past stage 3 without some practice. This game is hard no matter how you dice it.

Is it gay that this makes me excited?

Aww come on!

Dimahoo doesn't have a port, and is a popular shooter to compete for score, so it works really well in MAME 32 or even shmupmame. Many top scorers play the game via MAME. It has much more accuracy-focus than the $5 port of Truxton that almost anyone could play.

You can't miss out on what may possibly be the best month of the year :|

1) I really don't want to muck around setting up a MAME emu on my PC and trying to figure out how to get a stick to work with it (btw, the MadCatz PS3 stick will not work on PC). I could MAME on PSP but I don't see the point in playing a shmup without a stick.

2) I've recently gotten Espgaluda, Radirgy, Sonic Wings, Ibara, Shienryu I & II, Ray Crisis, Ray Storm, etc and haven't spent any time playing those. I'd rather spend the time getting my moneys worth on those instead.

OMG, I feel a tiff in our bromance. The above is not true :/ I use the exact same stick you have on my PC. You have to program it (have your pc search for the driver or some weird shit, but it absolutely works).
Hey, glad to see ya here!

This is the place for Dimahoo scores, and the hidden ships are perfectly legit.
Ok, Great. For those that don't know:

When you see the Image Title Screen, enter the following code, fast: U, U, L, D, D, R, A, B, A, B, A, St

If successful, then four extra ships will appear on the Image Select Screen, under the 4 regular fighters.

This is gonna take some figuring out - so many, well, 108 pieces beyond the medals and diamonds to figure out, plus the bonus features - lots going on here...
The move strips 'll help.

The rest is dodging bullets and collecting items.

By the way, there is a third button for this game--a "C" button. It's not on the move strips. It's RAPID FIRE. Make sure you use it.

ah, really? See this is already why I hate PC gaming at all. I spent like a fucking HOUR trying to get it to work one time and searching forums looking for answers that all pointed to people complainng that it didn't work. So yeah. Even if it does. Now I'm just more mad that I wasted that time.

It doesn't work on all motherboards - it is dependent on the type of USB connectors, I believe. Apparently there are drivers for one kind, not for another. It works with the majority of PCs, but its compatibility is not universal.

For example, the PS3 Madcatz I have stick works fine on my Desktop PC, but not on my HTPC.

2,248,000 - Dunpeal2064 - Stage 4 - Karte - 62/108 - Arcade

Stage 4 is off the hook. I got the extend and pretty much wasted it, but I am happy to have nabbed over 60 items.
