I'm a big fan of PWG, been following them for about 4 years now and these past 2 years or so have seen them become my favourite promotion in the US. They've really hit on an awesome formula that reminds me of 03-04 era ROH, as there's such a great mix of styles throughout their shows, with some of the best names in indy wrestling like Kevin Steen, El Generico, The Young Bucks, Chuck Taylor, Roderick Strong, etc, mixed with some good up and coming talent like Willie Mack, Johnny Yuma, Johnny Goodtime, Peter Avalon, etc.

This past year my top 3 US promotions were easily;

1. PWG
2. CHIKARA
3. ROH

Incidentally, if anyone's interested in watching some Japanese wrestling, check out my DailyMotion account; http://www.dailymotion.com/SenorLARIATO - here's a few recent awesome and highly recommended matches;

Akira Tozawa & BxB Hulk (c) vs Masaaki Mochizuki & Masato Yoshino - (Dragon Gate 01/15/12)
Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tetsuya Naito vs Shinsuke Nakamura & Kazuchika Okada - (NJPW 01/29/12)
Go Shiozaki (c) vs Takeshi Morishima - (NOAH 01/22/12)
El Generico (c) vs Isami Kodaka - (UNION 01/03/12)
La Sombra (c) vs Volador Jr. - (NJPW 01/22/12)
Kenny Omega (c) vs Hiroshi Yamato - (AJPW 01/03/12)

Dude those are GREAT matches! I should watch some more Japanese wrestling. I've found it's ALOT like Mexican Wrestling, where-as its more focused on crazy moves and cool characters.

I don't see why he has to give the rub or pass the torch or put someone over. They had Maven eliminate Taker from the Royal Rumble and that did wonders for him...
Breaking the Undertaker's streak at WM and eliminating him from the Royal Rumble aren't in the same universe. One would presume anyone that defeats Taker would be slightly less green than Maven was at the time. That was a bizarre sub plot from that Rumble, but the writing and booking didn't let it go anywhere. I don't see how these two things are correlated at all.

For everone else that has responded, yes, logically in a comic book universe, Kane disposing of his brother would be an interesting climax - however, in the real world, their matches are horrible and played out. Plus, I'm pretty sure Kane beat him in every match from the 2010 feud, so Taker would logically get his revenge in the story.

It's a moot point, he's not losing at Wrestlemania imo. Not to HHH and not to Cena next year if they go that route. It would have been cool if HBK was able to do it though. Man, I miss that guy.

I love this guy

"As noted before, WWE Champion CM Punk confirmed his new WWE DVD to come out later this year. Punk spoke about the DVD on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast and said he's already upset a lot of people in regards to decisions he has made about the DVD.

WWEDVDNews reports that Punk has a lot of input on the DVD that will include matches and a documentary style feature similar to recent Randy Orton and John Cena DVD's. Punk picked the matches for the DVD and which stars were interviewed for the documentary.

Punk talked about watching recent DVD sets on Randy Orton and Chris Jericho, then sending a long e-mail to WWE employees about what he wants for his DVD. Punk said he didn't like the usual narrators that can be heard in the backgrounds and the choice of music on WWE's DVD's. Punk is refusing to have "crappy bands like Switchfoot" on his DVD and is planning on using music from bands he is a fan of and friends with.

The set will be out on DVD and Blu-ray later this year."

Who is the greatest wrestler of all-time?

I don't mean your favorite, I mean the greatest. I think we can all agree that this falls between 4 men, but who is #1?

The Nature Boy Ric Flair:

I don't think we all agree on those four. However, if I have to choose between those four, it's the Rock. He's bigger than pro wrestling now. Only a few guys achieve that. Hogan is one of them. Austin is not, despite what his fans say. Austin never achieved anything outside of his popularity during the Attitude era. Rock and Hogan have far surpassed him as pop culture figures and Rock is a movie star now. Between Hogan and the Rock though, Rock is building a better legacy while Hogan has been embarrassing himself for years now

Flair had an amazing career, but outside of the pro wrestling fanbase and his home state of North Carolina(correct me if I'm wrong on that), he's kind of a nobody. Plus, like Hogan, he's been embarrassing himself and tainting his legacy for some time now. He should have left wrestling when he retired from the WWE

Hogan.. Ask any grandmother, distant aunt, or convenience store worker in the middle of nowhere, and they'll all know who the hell Hulk Hogan is..

When it comes to Professional Wrestling:
Ric Flair perfected it,
Steve Austin reinvented it,
and The Rock sensationalized it.
But "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan single-handedly made wrestling a mainstream phenomenon..

As recognized worldwide as Hulk Hogan and arguably more famous than any of the other three listed.

Summed it up perfectly.

But I think The Rock can be bigger than Hogan given a generation change. Kids nowadays know The Rock/Dwayne Johnson from his WWE involvement recently as well as the Disney films, and probably have no idea who Hogan is. I'm hoping Dwayne accepts the right roles (which to be fair, he has for the most part) and doesn't get pigeon holed into just action roles straight to DVD, like Austin seems to be doing.

But with regards to Hogan making wrestling a worldwide phenomenon, only he will have that accolade and his status in wrestling is unmatched.

I think the Undertaker has a shout at being the Greatest too. I'm sure most people I know think of an undertaker as the wrestler rather than a funeral director.
