Star Trek 2009 is a perfectly fine action flick IN SPACEEEE.
Sure it's not very Star Trekky and has some really absurd and insanely convenient plot twists and obnoxious lens flare, but I still enjoyed it. I had fun, what else can I say?

I'm hoping the next Star Trek movie is more serious, along the lines of Wrath of Khan.

I'm hoping Kirk and Spock visit SeaWorld and on their visit the vulcan pinch is performed on a teenage derelict who has no respect for public transportation.BoringSupreez wrote:I'm hoping the next Star Trek movie is more serious, along the lines of Wrath of Khan.

Teenage Dirtbag (2009)
Now, I saw this from about halfway in up until the end. Its surely a weird movie. It seems as though it took the whole idealism and blew it out of proportion, as if to overemphasize the issues.
Though, I can relate to the poem being read by the main character at one point in the film, where it is immediately after revealed that the character is in love with the person he is directing the negative poem too.

Had a rather large Christmas party last night and had MEAN GIRLS playing in the relax room.
Love or loathe Lohan, the movie is tops. The wit, the satire...even the physical comedy is close to perfect.

Truth be told, I love A Voyage Home. I love Spock jumping in a whale tank, I love Kirk's hairpiece, I love every single one of the extras who ham it up, I love the silliness that the movie brings to the table. It plays more like a rom-com than it does sci-fi, and it doesn't bother me at all.indecks wrote: that movie referenced one of my all time favorite books and I loved it.

I'm gonna watch the Rankin/Bass version of The Hobbit to prep myself for the live action film, which I plan to see on Wednesday.
