Congralutions on the find!

I remember a few years ago my buddy called me saying I should come over to his house because he had a nice surprise for me. I had no idea what it was so I went over and was greeted with a few trash bags. His brother, who now lives in Japan, had come home for a few weeks and decided to clean all his old stuff out of the garage. He had a bunch of old gaming stuff that he didn't want anymore so he left it out for the trash. My friend, knowing how much of a gamer I am, called me when he saw it. So in the trash bags I got an absolute mint in box pc engine with the a/v outs, about 20 complete japanese games. A complete commodore 64 with about 100 games. An atari junior with about 10 games, about 20 awesome NES games, and 2 boxes full of wires, controllers, joysticks, random junk. That day felt like I was winning the lottery hahha. His brother kept his mega drive collection in the garage with about 200 complete in box japanese games. I'm sooo hoping one day he decides to throw those out too :D Oh also he has a super famicom with about 100 japanese games as well, those arent complete in box though, but omg :)

My brother was walking to his local apartment dumpster to (of course) dump some trash. The dumpster was starting to overflow with crap and people were starting to pail their trash bags next to the dumpster. My brother pitched his trash and was about to walk back but one of the trash bags caught his interest. He opened it up and found a Sega CD hooked up to a Genesis model 2 along with two controllers, Vector man, some crappy sports games and above all a mint copy of Lunar Eternal blue!

He took the trash bag back to his apartment and kept it there it till we met up that Saturday. When I saw him he said “You're not gonna believe what I found” He showed me the trash and my jaw immediately hit the floor. He gave me the entire bag knowing I would have more interest in it then him and he said keeping it in his apartment would just take up space.

@ LentFilms - There is a Video Game Finds section. I always said Swap meets and thrift Store were the best places to find a deal, but I think you found the best deal! I think I would have gone Dumpster Diving and see what other mysteries are there. :D

Please post pics in your OP!

Getting free stuff from people who don't want it is amazing.

My freshman year of college, I was friends with this really preppy rich kid who had attended an elite private high school prior to university. In May, while everyone was packing up to move out of the dorms, this kid walks up to me with a box. He says, "I can't fit this shit in my car, you want it?" It was a Nintendo 64, 4 controllers, Goldeneye, Mario 64, and both Zelda games. Hell yes I took it. 8)

I remember in college one of my friends at the time gave me two games he didn't want anymore because he was too busy playing Halo 2. The games were CIB mint copies of Marvel vs Capcom 2 for PS2, and the Zelda: Collector's disc for Gamecube..

My younger brother also had an awesome haul from games people didn't want. Someone in our fraternity found some Gamecube games in the basement and gave them to my brother because he was "the only one in the house who played this type of stuff." Included were Pikmin 2, Zelda Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance, and a few other good ones.
