Not sure if it's a deal (especially when you think of how much it would cost in Japan), but it's not the high BINs it shows for cart only.

It's $1-5 loose, and maybe $1-10 CIB. I got my copy for $1 in Japan. HOWEVER, you are not in Japan. Therefore, yeah, it was expensive, but it is an AWESOME wrestling game in the N64 AKI series. It's arguable the best, along with No Mercy.

Oh, well. My sister in Iwakuni probably wasn't going to find it, and it was on my want list for years, so it's not a huge deal. I can't wait to try it out! Breetai, have you tried the Tohkon Road series?

She could have found it if she knew where to look, but if she isn't hunting retro games regularly, it really might have been more effort than what it's worth. Plus, if she spent $5-10 on train/bus tickets or gas running around, consider that towards the total cost. :)

I haven't played the Toukon Road N64 games. I did have a few (well, all 3)of the Toukon Retsuden PS1 games. Those were decent. Also had the TR4 game on the DC, as well as some Firepro. Believe it or not, I wasn't a big fan of ANY of them. I preferred the arcade style of the Smackdown games (yes, I am aware they run on the same engine as the TR games) and the N64 Aki games.

Now I have a bunch of mid-late 90s Japanese pro wrestling entrance themes in my head. Thanks, you bastard! I love Hayabusa's theme maybe the best. The Darkside version is sweet.

I think I paid around $15 for the cart only off ebay a ways back - nice grab.

I passed on the Toukon Road n64 games but am interested in revisiting possibly. Love the AKI games so have all of those (domestic and japan). Have played a good bit of Fire Pro back in the day (ps imports) and have 6 man scramble for the saturn. Have to say - love that they brought those two games to the Gameboy Advance.

Yeah, $24 might be a tad high, but if minty you didn't do horrible, i'd expect to see it for $12-14 cib plus ship on the forums, but if getting from JP, then add $6-8 for the boxed-shipping.

The Fire Pro GBA games are two of my favorite games ever.

Found a Prima LoZ Phantom Hourglass "premiere edition" strategy guide at Goodwill for 50 cents after today's half off discount. It was mixed in with the kids books, and in excellent condition.

Amazing Thrift Shop find!

Post by sega dude »

I was looking threw the shelf of retro games at my local thrift shop and I found PS1 Japanese import! Its GRITZ The Pyramid Adventure. Its complete in box, with the manual and what I think is the registation card. All for $4.99! This is my first import and I was so happy to find it. It works flawlessly on my tape and tissue moded US PS2 Slim. I Did attempt to play it but I have no idea what is going one. The manual is completely in japanese so its no help to me. Anyone know what this game is about and how to play it? Here are some pics:

(Let me know of you want better pics. I took these with my iPod.)

Hate to burst your bubble, but its a pretty meh game and sells for $1 (plus shipping) when at auction. Ebay buy nows are a bit more but they don't sell. A cool piece if your new to PSX imports, but certainly no monetary or play value outside of being your first import. Sorry.

Found a Colecovision on Shopgoodwill.com, ended up paying $60 for the system and hookups. Turns out, it came with multiple games and a Colecovision Expansion Module Number One as well as some atari controllers and a Colecovision computer/game storage unit/organizer, none of which were specified in the details. Whoo
