Just to throw in an opinion of my own...

- The GameCube controller is the most comfortable controller. I love the thing, fits my hands great. Don't hear many comments one way or the other about GCN controllers unless its to comment on the wave bird and its wireless awesomeness. And in general I'm a big fan of the GameCube. Lot of great titles and a fun system to play and collect for.

Where's the "cold hard gaming facts" thread?

He needs to retire already and consult when necessary. He's stifling Nintendo unnecessarily.

I still don't get it how a reasonably smart and funny guy like Spoony can think that he is actually being funny or making his reviews more watchable by poorly acting unfunny characters like Dr Insano and pretending to be a homeless bum. You're a grown man, even a 15 year old would feel embaressed by doing something so incredibly stupid. I can't even fathom how god awful all the other guys on that site must be.
I think Dr Insano started as a good joke to make fun of FF8's plotholes. The character himself was never funny, but he was useful in that first appearance. After that though......yeah. (though I think he's cut down on that stupid stuff lately. His Ultima retrospective and FFX-2 and FF13 reviews have been quite good)

And also, they are pretty horrible. The only ones who are watchable are thes ones who don't try out that bullshit.

I'm pretty certain I read somewhere that the last few years he's been preparing various Nintendo teams for his absence.
Older. Not wiser.

I thought Miyamoto mentioned that he was thinking of leaving, and it caused this huge uproar and Nintendo's stock started dropping.

I only read it on here, so some/most of that information may be false, but I can't blame him for sticking around if everyone would lose faith in Nintendo without him.

They are a very good example.

If you've been around geeks for a while you may have noticed that they tend to flock together, do something and then end up in a rolling ball of hate once one of them has sex with another. Everything goes to hell, there's more sex, breakups, hell's gates are opened and they each go their different ways, create new groups and the cycle starts over. Often sex isn't a necesary part of it, but it's incredibly common.

There's another pat of it and that's willingness and talent. These guys, they might be nice, they might try...but they don't really want to have a career in comedy or game reviewing. They are popular amateurs and think like one, which is a big problem when money is involved. Compare them with James Rolfe who instead of ranting on the internet went to take film classes and learnt how to operate a camera. He's a pro in his mind and wants to make it a reality too and I really respect that.

This is a bit unfocused but I think you guys know where I'm getting at.

Lucky for me my geek friends are heterosexual males.

More than their sexuality, they are probably older than the geeks I'm talking about. It's a different generation I guess

Wait till a girl geek gets involved.

This is why I don't date geeks. I prefer to "geekify" them in time.

On that site they are a bunch of amateurs decided to go pro without thinking if they have the skill for it. Heck, even the NC himself is an above average amateur at best (look at him ending the show only to bring it back once his new thing bombed badly).

At least I can respect the people who never claim to be a "reviewer" or a "producer" (god I hated it when I heard them mention each other with that title).

Mind you I have to ask, how many hits is that site getting to be able to pay all those people?

Guess I should have specified, my geek friends are married heterosexual males or the kind who I haven't seen have a girlfriend in the last decade.
