Nanostray was developed by Shin'en, responsible for the Iridion games on the GBA. This will be good. It was 99 cents, no joke.

I really want those SI Extreme games too. I've seen them, they're good.

I found Montezuma's Return! for GBC for $5 today and also a new Cranky Kong mini (4-5~") plush too (along with a hello kitty for the kid for $3 together.)

But when I got home I saw finally Gargoyles Quest+Mega ManII+Ninja Gaiden Shadow showed up so that was awesome. I had to put off playing them, went to the bricks and minifigs store as I hadn't been in awhile and they had the Wright Flyer model from 12 years ago with the manual all 100% flawless too, had to grab that, and now it's done and hanging up in the room here on some fishing wire. :D Been wanting that one a long time.

Also a few days ago, I found the Versus publications Pokemon Yellow, Red, Green combo guide with the poster still attached for $6. All the more happy when I found people oddly pay like $40 for the thing. I'm using it though but it's nice to know when you got one over on half price books with their amazon pricing.

I've got the Versus guide for Pokemon Crystal, back when the game was a thing for me. They do good stuff with their Complete Guides.

I also stole your post from the "reformatting old games" thread for a minute.

HEAR HEAR because I must have missed that last year. What usually works to erase data on the GBA certainly doesn't on the DS, as I've come to find out with the used games I've been getting. Google has brought success to me so far, but I can't erase the high scores on the first Touchmaster game and that's a pain because whoever had the game before me has some crazy-ass scores on 90% of the games

Well some games do not come with a data erase, just the ability to overwrite, so you're just straight up screwed if it's not like some RPG where you just start a new life on it and write over the old slot. Gamers have been getting wise to it and giving companies hell over it. Remember RE Mercenaries on the 3DS when it came out, no way to remove your progress or scores in the game. You could go back and play older stages, but you can't start over and the scores can't ever be set back so it's a garbage title to try and sell off.

Really? Good to know. I hope not many games are like that. Most likely either I find the button combination, in-game erase option, or just simply overwrite a previous file, but those crazy Touchmaster scores I can't do anything about. I hope Touchmaster 2 isn't like that.

I have no idea, but if you can't google it, it probably is locked down. Stupid stuff like that is why I won't buy some games at all. Sure I could get them new, but I'd still not be able to reset it for my own needs (other than resales) to start fresh and that's inexcusable.

Well I guess that is one positive of the old SRAM battery saves on the original Gameboy, you could just wipe all the saves by just unsoldering the battery for a few minutes.

You could try intentionally corrupting your save file (by doing things like ejecting the game while its saving, etc.).

More like a few seconds, in most cases. But yeah. If you're doing that, might as well just put a fresh battery in while you're at it. Win win.

In general though it is a good idea, but find a way to back the save up first. Retron 5, copier cart of some sort, or some other hacked up method unless you don't care about losing data.
